SOCIALLY

I know that I have pretty much asked this question before, but has anyone on here ever tried just using socially? I feel like I am about to go crazy. I want to try to just take pills at social functions, but I am scared I will get hooked again. I wish that I could shut my brain off from thinking about these pills, I seriously just want to cry. Please someone help me b/c I just really want to go to the doc and get it over with and get some more pills. I want that feeling!

You already know the answer to this NO ,sooner or later socially will go back to abuse ..I wish it were not that way I would love to be able to take something when my jaw  was acting up but I know what will happen .

I know, but you will be surprised at the first time you go to something social and its okay. I thought the same thing, I'll never get through this without something but I did.
The feeling is not real. Its a temporary escpae. Just give it more time and you will start to feel better. I didn't feel good mentally until day 25. I was back to being myself. (I tapered) You can do this.

And taking one for a social situation will lead to many more. I promise you.

i do not think an addict can use socially. i dont even think an addict can use when in pain unless it is very severe pain and someone monitors their use.  it is very hard to be an addict.  bottom line is if we use we will wind up right back where we were.  if we had the ability to use and control...we would not be adicts, would we?

1 pill is too many and 1000 is NEVER enough!!! Its like an alcoholic having 1 drink dont get sucked in u came this far!!!!!

Is there really a such thing as a social drug user. I do not believe so in my opinion. I wonder what the difference would be between a social heroin user and a junkie? The social junkie would never share his rig? Or a social crack user only on certain days like hilidays or something? I don't see that as possible.

It would be the same say you were an alcoholic ,would you be able to drink socially without abusing?

Pretty much a big fat NO....one night turns inot 2 nights and so on...u will end up right back where u started...that is part of the mental readjustment...to get comfy without them

Ya I fooled myself with that thought about 14 times.. Just this once.. I deserve it...Just to get the house clean. Well the house is never clean enough and it was never just once and how stupid I was to "reward" myself for clean time with a mess up!

Thanks for all of your feedback. I went to my social function last night without the pills, and I actually had a pretty good time. It was definitely hard, but I woke up so grateful this morning. Thank you for everyone on here. I love you guys!

Thanks, I totally appreciate how I felt this morning. It is nice to wake up and feel reftreshed and not have a pill hangover. Deep down I know that I can never be a social user of anything, it is just not in my makeup. Thanks again!
