STILL HAVING W/D SYMPTOMS??

I've been on suboxone for 14 days.  The withdrawal symptoms I've experienced in the past have been almost non-existent.  However, starting yesterday I started to get flu like symptoms which have gotten progressively worse today.  I'm a low grade fever, cold chills, stuffy head, sore throat, etc.  This feels like serious w/d symptoms OR  I've got the flu.  Shouldn't my w/d symptoms be gone by now??  Sooo sick!!  Anyone have answers or advice???  Thanks!

I had chest surgery about 30 years ago and thus began my downward spiral into drug addiction.  I pretty much took whatever I could get prescribed (muscle spasms, back pain, shoulder pain, menstrual cramps, etc.) and learned how to work the system.  My addiction escalated within the past six to eight years and I finally made the step to Suboxone to try and get clean.  I've gone cold turkey many times, but was never successful for more than a month or so.  Prior to going on Suboxone I was taking Percocet, Nucyenta, Zanaflex, Xanax and Ambien.  I knew how to work my scripts so that I never ran out of everything at one time.  Just over a year ago I was laid off from a very high paying job...the third one in six years...and most of my employment issues stem from my drug abuse.  I'm desperately trying to make this effort to get clean my last!

I'm just ready to be a contributing member of society again and be healthy enough to work and be a better parent.

Thanks!

Hi Meg, can you give a bit more info about your situation? So you are on suboxone now? Also, what was your habit before your sub intake and how long were you on them?

If you are on subs for 14 days you shouldnt be withdrawing unless you are decreasing your intake... Please let me know what you were taking and for how long.

God Bless :)
