SUBOXONE ADDICTION

HI EVERYONE, I AM NEW TO THIS SITE, BUT i AM HOPING SOMEONE CAN HELP ME, TO HELP MY FIANCEE', GET OFF OF SUBOXONE!  HE IS SERIOUSLY ADDICTED TO THIS STUFF, AND DESPERATELY WANTING TO GET OFF OF IT!  I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR MONTHS TO FIND A DOCTOR, WHO CAN HELP HIM TAPER OFF OF THIS DRUG, WITHOUT HIM HAVING TO MISS WORK, OR GET VIOLENTLY ILL FROM THE WITHDRAWLS.  I HAVE FOUND NONE IN THE LOUISIANA AREA, WHO IS WILLING TO HELP HIM WITHDRAW FROM IT, BUT ONLY PRESCRIBE IT TO HIM!! WHAT HAS THIS WORLD COME TO??  WHY CAN A DOCTOR PRESCRIBE THIS ADDICTIVE DRUG, BUT NOT HELP PEOPLE GET OFF OF IT??  THIS WORLD IS SO SCREWED UP!  PLEASE, IF ANYONE OF YOU HAVE A SUGGESTION, OR A SOLUTION, PLEASE SHARE....I AM DESPERATE, AND SO IS MY FIANCEE'!!

Pillguy is correct....how many mg per day does he take and for how long? We will need to know in order to help.BTW....in Louisiana here as well and your right about the docs!

Could you provide us some more detail regarding your fiancée's dose, how long he's been on the subs and a history of any medical conditions as well as prior drugs of choice?  There are several,people currently active on Medhelp whom have quit suboxone.  I used for 2 years and have been clean for about 3 months .  Others here have way more clean time off suboxone than I have.  Some have quit from relatively high doses, others like myself tapered to very low levels.  Let's continue this conversation.  We will suggest possible courses of action; you decide the direction that you want to take.
