SUBOXONE WITHDRAWAL

Could someone please help me. I was wondering when I would start to feel withdrawal symptoms from suboxone and how bad they will be. I have been taking 8mgs a day for about 4 months. My doc tapered me off this week. 2 days @ 6mg, 2 days @4mgs, 2 days @ 2mgs and today nothing. I feel the same. No major withdrawal. When will it happen? Does it take a few days to wear off? How long? Any advice helps. Thanks!

I just found out today that my insurance isn't going to pay for my suboxone anymore, I was on 110mg of methadone and got off cold turkey... It littarly almost killed me. I woke up in a hospital some 20 days later. I was still in withdrawal when I was released. I didn't sleep for over a month so something had to give, I got on suboxone. Have been doing great for a lil over a year & today totally shocked me, finding out I couldn't get it filled. My little boy starts school Monday the 27th I have 30 left, the Dr prescribed 8mg 3 times a day, I've only been taking it twice a day. I've read all the horror stories, & I'm thinking of just getting on a low dose of methadone I was on it 9 years just don't Wanna go through the withdrawals again. They were pure hell

I am coming off 8mg of Suboxone bc I can't afford it no more! I am medically disabled but I have no insurance to treat my ruined spine no neurologist will see me! I was put on Suboxone to treat Lortab withdrawls. I want to die, my skin is crawling, I have diarrhia and vomiting so bad I can't leave the house.

thanks so very much for sharing. It is a good description that we can understand. Hard to take because I have been on less than a mg of suboxone for 5 months after 1 year on gradually decreasing doses.
You are a brave man to jump from 2mg.
I hope to lessen the severity by doing crumbs, but I may need some time like you, to get through this.
Please keep us posted as you go along.
Lots of blessings.

Well. I think i will clear a little of this up for everyone.. I was on MS Contin 60MG ER Tabs for over 2 year's. So i had morphine in my system 24/7 so that was great for me eh? Blah!... So i wanted to get off so i did. And i got on suboxone for about 6-8 month's... And i took my self down to about 2MG every other day.. And just stopped..

I wont lie to anyone.. If your going to stop dont stop at even 1mg a day. You need to be takeing a crumb for like a week or so and then a crumb every 3 days and then every 4 then 3 to last you the last 2 weeks. When your at your sickest no closer then almost a week apart. So save those 3 crumb's for every 4-5 days and then just gotta do the rest....

But like every one else who just stopped at 2MG a day or so. im not gonna sugar coat anything. It's gonna be rough. Im now on day 35 and im still feeling like **** now and then. But let me type this out so i dont scare anyone.

Day 3 it started to get bad. Crappin all the time just water... Blah. Throwing up alot. Cant eat much. Body pain's. Alot of raceing thoughts in your head. And the biggest thing you will have to deal with and may need med's to help is the not sleeping. That starts around day 2-3 of stopping and it last's month's.

Around day 12 i was wishin i was dead kinda just everything sucked so bad. No sleep all the pain's and just the bathroom visit's every 30 mins or so.. God talk about your *** on fire.

About day 20 i was starting to feel better. Started being able to eat more. And kinda have moments where i would pass out some times from being so sleepy. But no real good night's of sleep still. Still haveing bathroom prob's. No more throwing up tho. And body pain's are not really too too bad.

Day 30. Still not sleeping. And bathroom prob's come and go as they wish. Some times your stool's are soild and some time's water. 50-50 some times.

At day 30 i got put on ambien to help me sleep. 10MG not 5mg. 5 is a joke and you wont sleep. 10MG 30 mins before bed and you should be able to get 5-8 hour's of sleep. Just make sure you dont have anything that will be wakeing you up past the 5 hour mark after you take it because then you wont be able to sleep unless it's ambien cr. Then you should be ok.

Day 35 today i got my 1st night sleep last night slept 10 hour's!!!. But i have very loose stool's. It's something you will need to watch. And maybe get some imodium AD.

So with all that said it's not going to be easy. There are time's i wanted to get back on the suboxone trust me... But it need's to be done. And you have to remember. You didnt get stuck on the pill's in 3 days.. So it's gonna take a bit to get well again. I just thank god the worst is over and i should be able to sleep on my own soon. And the loose stool's will get the F-Outta here lol.

I have been on Suboxone for over 3 years now, at one point I was up to 32mg a day.  I tapered down to just 4mg a day. Today is the 5th day without any and I think I am going to die.  My question is this, how long will this withdrawal last?  It did not hit really hard until the 3rd day.  I am used to opiate withdrawal and that used to be about 7 days.  Wish me luck,

I had been taking suboxone for a few days under a month at first 8mg a day then cut back to 2mg to help get rid of w/d's from roxy's & hydro. I'm on my third day with no suboxone and at times I feel like **** with similar w/d like the day I quit the other stuff. Does anyone have any idea how long this will last? Thanks for any help available

Suboxone stays in your body a long time.. at 36hours after your last dose half of it is left. Most people do not feel WD for 2-3 days. It is alot like methodone this way. And because of the long half life not only are the doses left in your body you took yesterday but the day before as well.. they stack up in your body.  In Europe they dose some addicts every other day and it is still effective. I hope that you only have mild Wd ahead of you. I am stopping tonight as well. I have only been on it for 10 days, and tapered down to 0.5mgs  so I am crossing my fingers for both of us..

If it's like methadone, you won't feel wd's for nearly 3 days.  really long half life.  i chose not to use it cause the woman who told us about it said it is really hard to kick.  i didn't want to exchannge one addiction for another.

Yesterday was the first day I heard anything about a "half-life" of suboxone?  I think FLaddict knows about that.  If this day without, is going well, that has to be some kind of indication of Great news.  It's good news to many people here that are on it and worried about the wd's from it... please check in daily and let us know?  thanks for the post.
