Same Spot

I am at 170 Milligrams of Methadone, I know insane, I have done a peek and trough and they continue to take me up stating that my dose is still registering low. My point is I am still going through the same symptoms that I have been going through before they raised my dose. Some of the symptoms I can attribute to Methadone with drawls, stomach ache, sweats, no sleep, watering eyes, and leg tremors. But I can't attribute the low grade fevers, back aches, I don't understand if the Methadone is at the right dose why the symptoms won't go away. I have been drug free for four years, but I take benzo to fall asleep, a small dose. My point is if nothing else is wrong then why do I feel so bad every day even on the medication? My point is I have hypothyroidism and I have been on the medication for a month but I still have all of the symptoms?

HI  at 170 you should not be feeling any withdrawal...with that said you may be one of the few cases that cant get to a stabilizing dose period. instead of going up have you thought of going down to get off the stuff ??? the point i am making is if the stuff ant working why torcher your self any more it would be best you get off it and you will feel amazing once your threw the withdrawal also pick up a 3 in 1 vitamin at wamart it is calcium/magnesim/zinc take 4 with breakfast and 4 with dinner this should take away most of wht your feeling especially if you decide to quit give the vitamins a few days to start helping keep us posted to how your doing good luck and God bless.....................Gnarly......................................

have you had blood work done? to rule out an infection in your body somewhere? too many times people have been on opiates and had infections, heart disease, kidney issues and because of the opiates cant feel the pain it would cause if they weren't medicated.
low back pain and low grade fever, could be kidney issues.

are you taking the methadone because of your past drug habit?

If you're on that dose of Methadone I would HIGHLY doubt your symptoms could be coming from w/ds.  Not unless you were just transitioning to Methadone from another, much heavier habit.  I would strongly urge you to work with your medical doctor to find a cause.  The thyroid disorder could be a very likely culprit.  It could be that the thyroid medication is either not the "right" med for you, or the dose needs adjusted.

Good luck!
