ADDICTION: SUBSTANCE ABUSE COMMUNITY
Scrubs last night

Scrubs last night

Don't know if anyone saw it, but it was pretty funny. This addict, who had made previous appearances on the show as a "pain patient", was back, this time as an addiction counselor. When confronted about his "recovery" by Dr. Cox, one of the people in his class defends him and says that, "to even join this class, we have to bring in all of our drugs!" This "counselor" has come up with a scheme for getting free drugs from other addicts!

I guess the point is that overcoming addiction is not easy and evidence of recovery can really only be noted by actions and not words. I mean, just because I "say" I'm 24 days sober does that really make me 24 days sober?

I just wanted to say how i enjoyed reading your information on Suboxone.  I beileive suboxone is a tool and not an answer.  We are not cured from our addiction by using it.  I am glad I am off and feel I can take my recovery to the next step of being completely clean and working with my support group and working on educating myself on my addiction.  I always new I was on another opiate when using suboxone and just changing pills.  I admire your strength and posts.  Thank you,
