You can do it. I did it and I am feeling better every day now. Just take it one day at a time and look forward to each new day. The first 4 for me were the worst but after that it got easier each day and now i feel wonderful.

Welcome on board!!  You can do it!!! I for one, will be praying for you and cheering you on. One of the things that helps me now is to think positive thoughts. If I start with the "I can't do anything without my opiate buzz" or maybe just a half would help the wds" I replace the thoughts with any positive lists. Think about all the people you know and say this person has a nice smile , nice hair, nice clothes, kind. etc. Or things you have done for others. Just stay away from the negative thinking. My sponsor told me I was a very negative person. I was shocked because I have always been upbeat. But the addiction did change me ALOT, He said to do positive exercises, so I do and it really helps. I also read my Bible. There is power in the word.
God Bless! Little D and I will go pray for you right now Tiffany.
Love and peace

Sounds great! I wish you the best! Keep strong!

I read Clamity's reply and agree completely. Something else to think about, I know it sounds funny, but it does help. Put a rubberband around your wrist and snap it everytime you have a negative thought and when you feel the urge to medicate yourself. it really works, I swear. you have to believe in it, just like you have to believe you can do it! My husband has been (for lack of a better word) an a** for the last few years and he finally HAD to go see a therapist (yes, he actually did something so stupid he was arrested!) and so everytime he thinks negatively or has an urge to do something he "shouldn't" be doing, he snaps it and reminds himself of the pain he's brought in our family.
Keep in mind everyone is different, but you have the support of your mom and all of us. I know you can do this!

Feel a Hug!

I like the rubber band idea, I should definitely try that. I notice myself thinking negative thoughts a lot...so this would really help me. Thank you for the great idea :) and the support...it helps a lot and it is definitely something I need.
