Seeking Opinion on drug binge/anxiety

Hello -

I am asking this question on behalf of a friend who is going through a trying time recently.

Said friend had a birthday last weekend, and had a 3-day stretch of pretty intense partying that has led to some feelings and questioning of his relationship with his girlfriend.

Here's how the timeline went:
Saturday: Took 3 20mg Adderrall XR pills throughout the course of the day while binge drinking
Sunday (super bowl Sunday): Took two vicodins to combat the hangover and drank heavily again while also smoking weed
Monday: Took 2 more 20mg Adderall XR pills to try to regain energy for work

I have obviously discussed with my friend that this is not behavior he should engage in again and he is in full agreement. In the few days after this stretch of time he felt lethargic, wasn't eating normally, had a headache for about 4 days, etc.  These sympItoms seemed to go away after about 5-6 days.

However he has also been dating a great girl for the past 5 months or so and begun to doubt his feelings for her out of the blue.  My question is could this train of thought be related to the 3-day stretch listed above? And also, how long should any type of negative side effectives be expected to last in this type of case?

I am not sure if this belongs in a different forum and if so it would be great if someone could point me in that direction.  I have talked to people who have used these communities in the past and gotten some great answers and feedback.

I don't think the question is out of place at all.....it's a good question. But looking at the amount of dope he had in his system over the course of 3 days...the recoup time seems pretty normal to me.  That was one of the games I played with myself in the beginning....omg..I'm hungover and I have to get the kids to school and go to work....hmmm....3 hydro's will allow me to do this...but then the next day I was down for the count again!
I think the dope is probably what was making him second guess this woman he's seeing.  Or, in fact, she's a great girl, just not the girl for him...and b/c she's a good girl, he's afraid of hurting her???  Maybe ask him?

Gonna go out on a limb here and say that the girlfriend does not like what he did and maybe told him so. Maybe gave him an ultimatum. So now his addict brain feels trapped and wants to run away. It's ok if it's you and not really a friend. We are all addicts here.  No judgment.
