the 5 hour energy drinks worked good for me- they have the strength of coffee but have all the amino acids in them

Couple of things worked for me and caffeine was one of them:

1. You need to stay hydrated at all times so plenty of water (I usually drink 1.5-2 gals a day)
2. Drink a protein drink that contains all the aminos you need; you'll notice the energy.
3. I drank Starbucks Expresso shots (cold) during the day; usually one every 2-3 hours but never after 2PM.
4. Push yourself into exercise, even if only for a walk, short run, etc...good exercise (sweat) helps release natural endorphins...natural pain killers and puts the body in a relaxed state later.

Try some OTC PM meds, e.g. Tyl PM, Execdrin PM, etc to help you sleep at night; this worked for me as well albeit slightly.

Energy will return but it does take awhile.

As we all know energy is the last to come...I have taken the L-tyrosine, but i didnt find a difference...Some others did...Everyone is different...At day 18 ( congrats) i would say try the caffine., Also, there are a few here that i know have tried provigil s/p?  I know it is prescribed, but not sure if it is addicting....I also drank some energy drinks, that helped.
good luck, and congrats again...

I do take Prozac my doc prescribed a year ago, since w/d I have since started them back up. I think I can take l-tyrosine w/o any drug interaction. But some of the others I know I can't. I just pray that my body will heal :)

I take antidepressants and was told that I shouldn't take any thing other than the multi viatamin.  Don't know if this is true or not but didn't want to find out, I did buy them ( 5-htp and l-tyrosine )  and decided to give them away.  :(  So I drink an energy drink pretty often, I know they (some) have l-tyrosine in them but so far it hasn't botherd me.

You might very well wish to take a look at L-Tyrosine - - its in the amino acid protocol and is an amino that will help with fatigue and malaise.

The Energy Drinks are either combo's of amino's or caffeines.........much cheaper to get a couple bottles of the ingredients...................

Your post this morning about eating salad and grape juice was amazing!  Your story was amazing on your profile.  How long were you on pills?  What dosage?  I heard smoking is very hard to quit, my son smokes and has tried to quit but can't seem to shake it.  I would love to know your story, you are very inspirational.  Keep posting and thanks for your support. Hi!  I just wanted to say that I do drink coffee,  start my day with it.   Also, sometimes I crave a green Monster drink,  the others flavors don't taste as good as the green.  I have always done this even in detox.   Others may say it's a bad thing, but I can't let anyone take my coffee away! :)
Congrats on day 18 ! keep it up!
