Sick of Hydrocodone

Sick of Hydrocodone

Ive been taking Hydrocodone for about 3 years. The past 3 months Ive been up to 60 mg per day. Ok, Im sick of spending the money and worrying about running out. Yesterday I started weaning myself off them. I had 33ish mg and today Ive had 35. I did not sleep well last night at all, Im guessing its because thats just about half what Im used to. My plan is to keep it under 40 for about 10 days, then go lower. My question is...Ive felt crappy yesterday and today (off and on), will my body start getting used to the lower mg? Say 4 days from now, is my body going to feel ok with around 35 mg per day? Or will I just feel worse? Im darned determined Im NOT giving up!

i was told you should drop one pill a week, but thats just what someone on here  told me, altogh he relapsed and i never have seen him on here since, so not sure if that was a good idea. I look at it like if you are gona hurt while tapering why not just go ahead and put em down and get your 5 or 6 days over with then start dealing with the menr\tall part. But i understand everyone is diff and some are not in the position to be able to w/d for a week

I wish I could go c/t but I dont think I could function at work and I have to be there. I just want to know if my body will adjust to the lower doses and I feel a little normal until I drop more mgs.

I tapered off a 40mg a day use over a 4 month period and in the end went into detox off only 15 mg a day anyway. I thought I was loosing my mind and just couldn't take the torment any longer. I don't know why I had such a difficult time, maybe it was 10mg of ambien nightly that made things worse for me.  I can't say what  CT withdrawl (withdrawal) would have been like, but I feel like I tortured myself needlessly by tapering. It might be ok for you, but if you can find a way to get it over with, just do it.

If you have a long weekend off work coming up, could you try to go CT? There's no easy way no matter what you do, but my experience makes me think that it's best to just get it over with. I thought that tapering would prevent withdrawl (withdrawal), but I still had RLS, sweats and chills, and when I finally did CT off the last 15mgs. I still had to cope with the mentaI  Wish I had just quit CT from the 40mgs.. I had the circumstances but didn't think it was necessary.
