How many here finally had to be arrested before they realized they had a problem with pills?

I have not been arrested for anything like this. I was arrested once in my life for not having my dog licensed....LMFAO...cops actually came to my house and arrested me, I spent 10 minutes in jail for it.

For me... I never got in trouble with the law.Never been arrested. Never stole to get them..etc.etc. I was prescribed then when the prescriptions ran out I realized I had a problem.It was affecting my financial status,and marriage. The pills used to give me all the energy I needed to get everything done, then it started doing just the opposite. I felt lazy and tired all the time. The "opiate haze" started getting old so here I am......only 4 days clean. Feeling a little better today. But I have never made it past 3 in quitting. So yipeeeeee...I'm excited.....

My addiction to the pills started the same way.I was prescribed them at first,then I started abusing them,running out,borrowing them,alot of times buying them.Even when I was sneaking off to buy them from these people that I hardly knew in my warped mind I don't think in fact I know,I never thought then that I was doing something illegal. Of course at the time I was eating 140 7.5 or 10mg. vic's a week and didn't think there was a problem.

never arrested either most people dont get arrested before they realize they have a problem....Hell I was arrested for duii and had 90 vicodin in my purse and they just left them in there....I started taking them when I got out of jail 10 hours later....these people don't have to be arrested to know they have a problem they know trust me if you have not expierenced it for yourself it is very hard to imagine but it is hell on earth to go through...

i was never arrested or in trouble with the law but when all my over 1 years prescriptions stopped i started getting them from friends and stealing from my mom and then bought a few but when it was taking money from my family i knew i had a problem and ended up here! now 9 days clean!!

NEVA been arrested but have spent about 2,000 in two years on pills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was prescribed Vicodin and Norco for my back pain and after two yrs realized i had a   problem.... My doc left kaiser and he was very nice and generous so I statred stealing Norco and oxycontin from my mom because she is an addict... She has a morphine pump in her stomach and almost ANY  type of pain med u could imagine... Well she caught on to this and then bought a safe so she could lock up her pills... Well i found a dentist that gave me vic and another doc that would give me Norco.... So I  would run out early and  freak!

well guess what I found the keys my mom hid in her room to her safe, so Norcos it was.....
well after a few months she found out and Im now on suboxone because Im tired ofstealing
trying to find em and going to the doctors!
