I am in the same boat as you. But, i take either ambien cr or lunesta and generally need 2 to 4 a night. Wake after 3 to 4 hours.
It is unreal. Where did my sleep go? It use to be so wonderful and now i cannot sleep without pills. I was hooked on hydrocodone, took the cure with suboxone, went through those w'ds and was a mess for weeks, anxiety and depression and now this. i have also been trying natural things like melatonin and the vitamin mart has ordered me some lemon balm extract pills. i see my dr. next week. She will know then how bad this has gotten. I don't know what to expect from her. But, your question was the danger of continueing. I don't have a clue. But, i have been so tired some days i even take a couple of get a couple hour nap in. Help. TJack
unfortunately that is what happens when you take any prescription sleep aid for an extended amount of time .At some point you are going to have to stop taking it ,you will have sleep disturbance for awhile after but it will repair it self ....I guess you just have to decided when you are ready to quit taking them.
