Sleepless in LA

As I posted in another question about myself,
"I have been on Vicodin ex for about 3 years for a piched nerve resulting in hand and arm pain. I have come to the conculsion that the pain can be tolerated, but not the addiction to the vicodin. It controls my life and when I dont take it, I cant sleep or hardy function. I have taken as many as 6 to7 Ex a day. I am down to no more than 2 to 3 a day now but the withdrawal is at its worst".

The question I have is about sleep, I just cant seem to get to sleep at night. I dont feel like going to bed until 1 or 2 am, then I just cant seem to stop the brain from working, like I keep thinking about different things, but no sleep. Is 4 am here and still wide a wake, I am sure as the sun comes up its going to be another day of headaches and total exhaustion. Anyone else have this problem, and what are yoiu doing about it, thanks

Good Morning. The insomnia is bad for me too. I do fall asleep easy very early due to exhaustion of taking care of my 4 and 2 year old, plus Im anemic pretty bad..but after intially collapsing into a coma around 9 or 10 each night, I wake up around 2 or 3 usually, and then cant fall back asleep at all. Some nights i wake up every half hour and struggle to fall back asleep again. Its horrible. And all the while Im laying there awake, my back is screaming (bad discs) and i hurt all over. I do take a xanax to try and help me fall back asleep but lately even that is not helping either.
