How did I know someone was going to say that?  LEt's assume that I want a real answer to my question, though.  Yes, I do read the warnings on cigarette boxes.  I know the risks, thank you sir or madam.
Could you just answer the question, please?

how old are you?  was that 12 or did you say 20?  get a clue.....go visit a lung specialist. just sit in the waiting roon and observe.  you'll be able to see just what to expect if you CONTINUE to smoke!!  wake up dearie!  life is no fun when you're in pain!   both my parents and an uncle have died of emphysema. it was horrible to watch them slowly "fade" away.  can you imagine knowing you are going to die at any moment.  my father suffacated to death--in other words his lungs collasped and he could no longer breath!!!!  my mother was 69 and my dad was 78. they were both very active before their desise took hold of their lives.  give yourself a chance at a life worth living-----stay off the nicotine!!
bright blessings to you

Dude.  I can't believe your craving a cigarette.  I had my tonsils out 5 days ago, and haven't had the urge. NOT ONCE.  I am 26 and have been smoking a pack or more a day for almost 10 years.  Do yourself a favor.  Take advantage of the pain by quiting.  Your family will thank you when your still alive at 85.

I quit smoking for 9 years after watching my mom die of lung cancer from smoking at 66 and, like an idiot, started up again.  I'm 46 years old and I'm having a tonsilectomy on Monday. I fully plan to take advantage of the repreive from nicotine and quit again. I can't believe how quickly I got addicted again.

Im having a tonsilectomy in two weeks and it has made me think that if I can do without a cigarette then I won't start up again. It'll be hard but a few friends who are fed up of smoking said that they would join me which is cool.  Smoking isn't worth it, why did I ever start?
