So...Here I Am Again

by misterkangfish, Aug 09, 2009 12:20PM
Hello everyone. I was around here not much over a year ago whinning about my terible methadone withdrawawls. I wasn't clean for long after I finally got to feeling ok. Thought I could dabble with opiates and got in trouble again and methadone is the most readily available and cheapest for me to get ont the street.
Anyway here I am again  about two weeks into 'done w/ds. Should have stayed around here more. Hell I'm 57 years old! Will I ever learn? Well I've got some work that has to be done and I'm just not able yet. Has anyone here taken some speed like rittlin for energy? I don't know if it might help or just set my nervrs to squealing even more. Thanks - John

Glad you are seeking out help again. That is a first step. What you have to learn is that you are an addict and you have a disease that will last your whole life. You need to keep getting help. More help than just posting on here every once in awhile. Have you thought of NA? It will really educate you on addiction and how it works. Everyone there is going through the exact same thing and feeling the exact same feelings. They will help you. Do not take the speed. You are an addict and need to stay away from this stuff. Read the amino acid protocol bottom right of the forum. It helps some with energy. Speed gives you temporary energy but you know how you have to pay for that. It's not worth it. My best to you, Corey

Hi and thanks for responding. But Why so harsh and judgemental? Did you never relapse? I asked a simple question and it seems to have made you angry. For that I am sorry. Regards - John

I agree with IBK we don't recommend taking illegal substances on the forum it defeats the purpose .It also opens you up for a new addiction which happens often during WD.
amino acids can help with energy there is a protocol in the "health pages"check it out

I agree that rather than the harsh statements and telling a member how sad it is that they will never learn - that instead, the community leaders should be "guiding" members in the right direction.  These statements make me feel a little less comfortable with sharing on this board. That is what's sad...
