Sober Oct. 12th- two weeks today-Norco

I know it varies person to person...
Anyone a female 40yrs old, taking 10-12 Norcos 10/325 daily for two years.
I chewed them.
Did 5 day rapid detox. Suffering a bit but overall ok.
Static brain. Anyone have that?
Can't sleep but 4 hrs a night.
Evenings are hardest for me. Mornings are fresh.
Any idea on when I will feel healed?
No more urges?
I know it takes 90 days to repair the brain to best of its ability.
I have the habitual thoughts of a pill all day long.
However taking vitamins etc and somehow can barely swallow those!
Is mental illness related to addiction?
I am successful, didn't hit rock bottom.
I chose sobriety on my own.

Hey girl.....sorry you got your feelings hurt and have all these negative emotions coming out about this forum.  Cause we DO care....

I hope you'll re-consider cause there is a lot of love and support around here.  It isn't BS and it can't be done alone....what happened that tripped your trigger yesterday?

The weekends are slower than during the week on here....that's a reality for sure....but that doesn't mean no one cares.

I just read your post above and tried to sift out the questions.
Yes, my brain was very strange...I didn't use the word "static" but it didn't feel right for quite some time.  I was one of the rare birds that didn't have trouble sleeping....my sleep cycle was whack and I had trouble GOING to sleep...but once I got there, I was able to sleep well.
I was just the opposite of you, mornings slow and sluggish...nighttime was better for me.

Even if we don't hit a "rock bottom"...we can still look down and decide we don't want to go there.  Glad you made that decision.  Hope you are clean today and have added some aftercare....changing our daily routines takes a lot of work....but does get easier over time.

Guess I hoped I could hear something positive.
This site was no help to me.
I will do this on my own.
I will be better.
I'm going to make it.
And, truly I can say not even a drug forum have a ****.
You gotta want it on your own because no one cares.. It's all on you.
And I'm going to do this. Find my own answers and realize NA or AA...
Guess it's all BS.

it takes 13 months to heal your brain not 90 days it take about 90 days to get your energy back, sometimes more than not mental illness is present with addiction  people use to numb the symptoms of mental illness i didn't hit rock bottom either and i am a nurse with a successful career l i was headed that way and didn't want that to happen i went to rehab and will be clean 60 days on saturday what you are feeling is normal with detox and unfortunately for many sleep is hard to come by you seem like you are doing good and what you are experiencing is totally normal now how bout aftercare that is crucial have you gone to any NA/AA meetings? you really need this or some type of aftercare to be successful with your sobriety congrats on the 5 days keep it up and look into aftercare
