Somebody pulled the rug out

Somebody pulled the rug out

Here I am trucking along in my recovery process and having some really good days.I'm not thinking about or craving drugs but for the last week I have been trying to shake this blah feeling.I have been having some normal family stress and thought I was just letting all that get to me.My grown kids tend to drive me more crazy then the grandchildren do.Today I feel like it all came to a head and someone pulled the rug out from under me.I can't stop crying, but not really sure why.At least I can't pinpoint one thing.Lately it just feels like just getting through a normal functioning day has become overwhealming.Everything is getting to me.All of a sudden the energy I was building up is gone.I've found myself all week taking time out in my room because I just wanted to be alone. This Saturday I will have 90 days free from methodone and I'm wondering does this sound like the dreaded PAWS that I was so worried about?Peace.

Don't let it get you down.  Remember, everyone has days of depression, even non-addicts.
Unfortunately that it is a normal part of life.  So look at it this way, you are finally getting back to normal.

It is normal to go through these stages. Everything's fine then wham. It is when things get ACUTE that it is PAWS. It does help to read about it in the Health Pages. Just so you know what can happen, even if it is to a lesser degree.

Hi, not really sure what to say to help. The ones who have been there before will have to help with this one. Just wanted to tell ya to keep strong. I am pretty far behind ya in days, and scared about this myself. I can't shake the feeling that I am stuck feeling like this forever. Keep your head up. I will be watching the post to see what people say. Stay strong and god bless.

Kim, are you getting enough sleep? Depression also causes anxiety which makes you feel blah, or it could be paws? Im not sure? What I am sure of is that I know what a strong person you are & you,ll get thru this bump in the road, just try your best to be positve.  Hope you feel better soon! Your friend Penelope

Sorry your not feeling good Kim. 90 days is great but I think we still get those days for up to and over a year at times, The good part is that it's more of the good. I think we all need to read PAWS and Craving list more often. I remember reading somewhere that around 30,60,90 days that there was a study that said we get worse those days. Hope you feel better. Also the Penns lost. Are you into hockey? I am sending some positive thoughts right across Pittsburgh to you so you should get them soon and hope they make you feel better. Corey

Its life, deal with it. Keep moving forward. Dont run to paws or craving excuses everytime life gets in the way. This is life, this is how it is for the rest of your days off drugs. Your gonna have ups and downs. What you do with them will determine if you stay clean.

Hi Kim...I'm 5 months clean and I still have ups and downs :-(.  From what I read in this forum and PAWS, we have major milestones at 3, 6, 12 and 24 months.  I'm shooting for 12 months now cuz I believe I have 6 in the bag here soon. I felt like you did at 3 months, I mean I was watching some shows and tearing up...lol...definitly no baby here.  You're asking the right questions...keep with it and the feelings should pass.  BTW - are you following the Amino protocol and exercising?  I think those 2 things helped immensly.

Guy
