Starting Suboxone

I just wanted to let everyone know that my husband and I will be starting on Suboxone Monday. I'm so excited. I told him that I was going to do it with or without him and today he said lets do it. So I called and made an appointment for both of us around the same time so we can do it together. I'm so glad that we are finally going to be done with them damn pills.

subutex really helped continue living a productive life, job, work, travel, ect.  i think i was on it WAY too long (2 yrs?) and just now trying to stop - - but my drs approach was better to keep it legal & in check rather than me out there on my own.  i don't know the right way to do this - but subutex is a lifesaver to get away from the damn pills as you say.  but i hope you talk to your dr about the full plan - -  whenever you're ready of course.   The step to start the sub & get away from 'getting high' is such a releif.  good luck.

I wish you all the best, but it isn't a piece of cake.  Or it wasn't for me.  Maybe it will be for you and your husband.  I think i was tapered too fast.  But believe me when i say you CAN DO THIS.  What are weeks when we are thinking of months or years?   Get clean, it is GREAT!!  Hang tough.
