Please ensure me that the way I'm feeling from opiate w/d will pass?! I am trying so hard to stop and it's something I know I have to do. Any advice to make this process a little easier?

Obviously, I meant to say "assure". I'm not a bad speller, really, but maybe my body is telling me I need to go drink some "Ensure", lol!

Hi- even though it seems like eternity while going thru the w/d's.... the wonderful people on here are living proof that it is possible to get thru them and live again.  You have done the hardest part by taking the first step.  Keep reading and posting. You will surely fine someone who has a story that touches you and that you can relate to.... and having some "Ensure" probably isn't a bad idea on day 2 or 3! lol ;o)

I am really excited about posting here and the fact that I've already had people responding to me to help me get through this. If it weren't for this site, I don't think I would have the encouragement and motivation to stop. I have been reading the post and different stories on here for a couple of weeks now and it's very touching and moving. I'm just glad I finally made the step to stop taking opiates as of today and finally post something. I can't believe I'm even posting on my first day of w/d!!! I thought things would be worse than they are but who knows, it might get worser between now and day 5?! I'm just hanging in there and I keep telling myself that feeling this way is temporary and will pass. I couldn't imagine feeling this way forever. That would be awful! Any tips, suggestions, and advice is greatly appreacited! This site has given me that extra puch to stop, thank God!

Will keep everyone posted on how I am doing as the days go by.

Love to all!
