Starting tomorrow

Tomorrow will be day one CT with no Lortabs. I've had 60mg today and I have one 10 left. Tried tapering but don't have the control so I gotta do CT. I'm sure I'll be posting a lot for mental support.

Welcome and congratulations on wanting your life back!  I was taking 60-70 mgs of oxy/perc/hydro (whatever i could get) and I went C/T as well. It's doable. It's worth it. It's not easy, but the W/D's are temporary. Using will lead to jails, institutions or death.  It's not pretty.  Getting into recovery will save your life. You will find a huge amount of support here. I also use NA for aftercare. There are a lot of options. The more support you build around yourself the better. Take the steps to separate yourself from your drug sources. I had to arrange things so that pills were going to be very difficult to get for me. I got honest with my MD, and cut off all ties to my dealers.

apike - I'm so glad to hear you are ready to jump off.  It isn't easy for first couple of days but PLEASE try to remember it is temporary, get all your supplies ready and hunker down for the first couple days, then day 3 try to force yourself to walk to the mail box and every day walk a little further, this helped with my own personal experience - of course everyone is different but it seems everyone would tell you pushing yourself into some activity is better than laying around after you get through the worse.  I'm on Day 8 and although I have another round of withdrawals ahead to taper down benzos I'm on a really low dose so I think as I slowly cut it down that will be a much easier thing for me than the hydros (I hope) and now I'm OFF hydros for good.  Make a plan and stick to it getting through each minute, hour at a time.  In a few days you'll start feeling better.  We'll be here, post for support if you feel up to it.

That's great u ready to to do this. U picked a good place for help there a lot people that can help u. I got a lot of help here the first few days when I was thinking about the pills I start reading all the different posts till it went a way. U can do this it will get better

I'm 36 days off Norco 10s, 8 - 10 a day for over a year. That's just me...If you haven't already, read the posts on this forum and you'll find success story after success story just like mine. The drug of choice may vary but the stories are the same. You have a difficult 3 or 4 days ahead but you can do it. Life without drugs is fantastic; it keeps getting better, and it will for you too. Keep posting and ride this out. We're here to help. I look forward to reading your posts once you're on the other side.

You post all you need to,,you will find some amazing people here that will support you and help pull you thru this. I had to cold turkey as well as I didnt have enough discipline to taper. Im a all or nothing kind a gal. You prob know what to expect as far as the withdrawals go,,but one big thing you need to do is cut off any pill supply/ connections you have. Its a mental battle you will fight. Just take it minute by minute,,Identify the triggers and time of day you usually take a pill and make sure you are distracting yourself. Dont give in to this beast addiction. We are all here for you~Bkitty

Day one. I'm ok so far. Mentally woujd love to pop a pill though. It's so hard. It's time to get off these devils though. Plus no way of getting any.
