Starting weaning process today for over 2 years of percocet abuse (10-15 roxi's/day)

The time has finally come where I need to get control of my life.  Started out taking minimal amounts of hydro/oxycodone after my two-year-old was born and after my doctor wouldn't refill my Rx again, my husband and I started finding them on the street.  Spent a fortune keeping up with our habit.  We are to the point where we don't want to continue wasting thousands of dollars on them anymore and I'm to the point where they don't even work anymore.  For example, in order for me to feel anything I need to take 120mg's at a time.  Yes - that bad!

I've known for a while that this has to stop.  I want my life back.  After talking with my husband last night, we are going to wean to five 30mg's (Roxicodone) a day.  I would prefer to wean because if I did cold turkey I may end up in the hospital.  Weaning to five is in itself going to be struggle and I need to get myself on a schedule that I wasn't on before.

I've been checking out this site for the past two months...it by far seems to have the most support and the best information.  For me to go out on the line and write to a community like this is huge.  I haven't told a soul about my secret.  Now I have a sense of relief as I type this.

Today I am going to get all the Thomas Recipe supplements.  I do have Xanax that is prescribed to me for night use however I haven't been taking it...don't need it when I'm knocking myself out with a crazy amount of narcotics every freaking night!  But I do have it for a sleep aid.

Any support, info, advice....anything...is appreciated!

I am a little confused, and I am not asking because I am judging. You need to take 12 - 10 mg pills of hydrocodone at a time to feel anything from them?

If so, I am soooooo glad you found this site. I mean, even if not........ There are people on here that will help you and support you, and your husband.

You will get the best advice and best support probably than you can anywhere here.

Thank you for wanting to stop and deciding to do this.
