State Funded Outpatient Treatment

State Funded Outpatient Treatment

Hello! I am new to this site and I am hoping to find some help. I have a drug problem and I need to get help. However, I do not have any money because of all the debt I have accumulated from a job loss 2 years ago. I only have a part time job right now and that is not even helping me pay for food on the table. I was wondering if there are any people on here who have any knowledge about where I can go about finding any State Funded Intensive Outpatient Programs for me to be able to get treatment. It would be really helpful as well if there are any people on this site who live in Illinois and may have any knowledge of this states type of programs. I am desperate to finding whatever useful information to help me find my way to get the help I need. Thanks so much!

Your question is one that touches my heart, because in all honesty,  there is not a lot of funding available for drug addcition......  I hope your state is different than mine, however with the deficit as it is not only nationally but state wide as well,  it seems the first progams to be cut were education and health care.

I strongly recommend you go to the closest NA or AA meeting,  it may take 2 or 3 to find one where you are comfortable,  but  in most cities meetings are on almost an hourly basis,  talk to the people there   how did they get clean?  Are they aware of any drug programs available in your state?

Get out your phone book and call every  state  county and federal agency listed and ask them for guidance and help.......   see if there is a state insurance for people below the povery level for health care.  I am really sorry I am not familiar with your state,    I wish I had more info for you.

I am so happy you are wanting to get help for addiction,  and I don't want to seem like I am being discouraging, however I think it is paramount to be honest with you so you wont be disappointed when you start checking into state health care  funding.

Please  give NA/AA  a chance......  and it cost you nothing.

Good luck and please keep posting.
