sober meaning alcohol or all drugs?  I would highly suggest NA (I'm sure you've heard this before and I apologize if you've already stated that you are absolute not interested).  In there you create a support system of people who will inspire you and who you can call when you are weak.  We won't always have the orange pill to help us so we must find ways while we're on it, to help in the future.  If you are absolutely opposed to NA there is always 1 on 1 counseling but I think peer support is more helpful because you can get help at 2am and not when you're next meeting comes along.  A counselor can help with life coping skills though.  So besides NA, I guess I would suggest to you (and me, I haven't figure this all out yet myself) to use any kind of peer support you can find and to create new hobbies while you're on sub that have nothing to do with using.

Nobody fights the disease of addiction on their own and wins........

addiction has taken down the most powerful strongwilled rich people in the world.......
addiction does not discriminate it will kill anyone........

Jimmy OD on BARBITURATES, Janis on Heroin, John on a speedball, Marilyn Barbiturates, they all thought they could beat drugs they were wrong........

Addiction Counselors are good to talk to, N/A if you give it a chance and practice the 12 steps will save your life and teach you how and what to do when triggers cause extreme cravings.....

To stop using is the easiest part of addiction, to stay clean is the biggest challenge most of us will ever face in our life times.......

Support from our loved ones........honesty, compassion,  and forgiveness, support are things our families can provide which will help save our lives..............
