Still have slight shortness of breath

Still have slight shortness of breath

I have been on Hydrocodone for years and went off cold turkey last month. I have noticed I have had a lot of shortness of breath for the past year. I noticed that since I have been off the Hydrocodone, my blood pressure went from 190/94 to 118/78 which is GREAT but I still get shortness of breath every now and then instead of daily. I also went for a stress test two weeks ago. All test came back positive and my doctor said I MIGHT have a small abnormality after the X-ray portion after the treadmill portion. Ultrasound okay, treadmill okay (EKG). They want to do a Cardio Cath and I said no.

I went to see the Cardio Doc and he said he does not think it is my heart and to repeat my stress test in 3 months. I did not get the Cath done. I did not want to get a test done unless I feel it is necessary...call me a scarty cat.

Has anyone else had these symptoms before? I do not have any other symptoms to my knowledge. I do have chest pain every now and then but it moves around and my doc said this is not heart related. WHAT IS CHEST PAINS WHEN IT RELATES TO THE HEART??? I have been told I would know it if I had them. It is not a bad pain that drops me to my knees, it is VERY tolerable.

Thanks for reading this

God Bless

when i first came off the tramadol i was short of breath. any kind of activity left me gasping for air... never had this problem untill i went CT, it lasted for about 3 weeks and now i just get tired easly but the short winded part is gone,, but dont take it lightly if it continues to be a problem "see a Dr" just to be safe and to make sure its not something serious   jeffjeff

Has anybody checked your heart rate..is it a steady rate?  I was experiencing shortness of breath/lightheadedness and didn't think much of it until one day 3 weeks ago I walked up a flight of stairs at work, rounded a corner, everything went black and I hit the floor.
Turned out my heart rate was erratic..going from 70-75 bpm, down to the 30's.  I was
in the hospital and the following day got a pacemaker implanted.  everything fine since.
The funny thing is, I had an echocardiogram less than a week before and everything was
just fine.

Good luck
