Thanks everyone. I have been working 4 hours a day and then running a lot of errands for a few hours after work. So I am staying active.

Ditto on what everyone else said. I'm on day 16 and still haven't gotten a good night's sleep. Hang in there and be patient with yourself. I keep saying this, but it's so true- as addicts we want everything NOW. I want to be back to normal and that's totally crazy. It's going to take time for my mind and body to heal and I want it done yesterday.
You are doing great and we are here for you. Hugs and prayers...
you will have good days and bad days, this is completely normal.
you aren't going backwards, you are still healing. don't set your expectations too high, then you wont be disappointed.
you are doing awesome, keep moving forward.
be thankful that you are sleeping so well this early in recovery.
that is a blessing!!!!
Thanks all. I am doing most of these things. Just so worried this is going to continue. I know there should be no timeframe but doing so good and then taking a huge step back for 3 days in a row is so discouraging :(
Wow! You are sleeping really really good! For alot of us that is the very last thing to return! That in and of itself is a major blessing! Give it time & no giving up!
10 days is a good start, and if someone had told me it'd last more than 10 days, it'd of been hard to stop, but the reality is, you didn't get addicted in 10 days, you're not going to be over it in 10 days.
My back pain from WDs lasted 2 months, no joke. I did however deal with most of my energy and mental issues easily with a few tricks, being a health freak so here's what I did.
Take a B multi-vitamin. Opiates zap your B vitamins, that's your energy..
Take Omega 3 EVERYDAY ...I suggest Flaxseed over Fish oil
Go to your local "Super Supplements" store and ask the clerk for something called "Hydration Factor", you add them to water, much like an instant coffee, it even comes in the same pack...these things will hydrate you like CRAZY! They do, and they taste like "lemon cake" ...not my thing, but WORTH it. Take one of these per day
Have sex as much as possible, I'm serious...this is one thing that is generally accepted to help WDs a lot. It will get rid a lot of pain for awhile, masturbating is fine too, I think all that matters is the climax so whatever...
Take Tumeric root, this will help your pain a lot.
Keep your mind off of it, just be lazy for awhile...who cares? Chill at home, watch movies, pet your dog, draw stick people etc etc...just get better.
As I said before putting a time line on getting energy will only discourage you when it does not happen! Please give your body time to heal! I have learned to really hate the word time but that is what our minds and bodies need! We did not get this way over night and will not get better over night! Just do what you can and rest when you can and it will come back but it takes (heres that nasty 4 letter word!) TIME!
Good luck
It takes time...10 days is still really early. Just give it more time...it will get better.
Due to having gastric bypass 4 years ago I take about 11 vitamins. I still think maybe I overdid it this past weekend. Going to the doctor is no option being I have no insurance right now.
Maybe go see a nutritionist and try and get tested to see if you have any vitamin deficiencies.
I've been sleeping 8-9.5 hours per night. So yes I'm resting
You say you're doing a ton of stuff. Are you resting at all?
I agree with everybody about exercise and physical activity. Ive noticed over the years of detoxing many times, Ive always bounced back faster when I worked out. When your tired and not feeling it...thats the time to put it in high gear. My body would recover a lot faster versus me just waiting for it to get better on its own.
Ten days is great. Keep it up!
I've been working and doing a TON of things. I almost feel like I'm back in W/D mode :(
The energy will return in time. Don't give in to the naps and lethargy... Get up and get moving! Seriously exercise gives you energy. Even soaking up fresh air and sunshine helps. I know day 10 seems like a lifetime right now but its really only the beginning... Don't give up and give yourself time to recoup! You'll be feeling better in no time.
I'm with OP in getting some exercise & chugging juices. I'm a G2 guy...the regular Gateraid is too sweet. OP mentioning the workouts at night are not encouraged...they made me worse for the ware on sleep.
I'm like you and was a very active guy (even at 44) and this little event has put the cabosh on that & its a bear i will say. if i missed one workout it may has well been a month.
Keep it up your doing fine. Some days will be better than others....heck for me,so me hours are better than hours.
I don't want to sound like a negative Nellie, but didn't you have some days with energy already? If so that's amazing!
You can't put a timeline on this, everyone differs. But the GI issues, and all that stuff usually does clear up on five to ten days. The energy, takes longer. Sorry to say. It was a full month before I didn't feel like I was dragging bricks, or tire out just bathing!
But I also layed on my butt the whole time. No exersize, no sunshine, nothing. And I healed.
So please follow the advise of the wonderful people here, but remember this. IT WILL RETURN!! Yes it will. But there isn't a magic time frame. Tell yourself each hour, each minute actually, you're closer.
Whatever you do, don't give up! You're doing great!!
Be patient. It took me about 15 days to start getting my energy back. I sped this process up with a extremely healthy diet, juicing, lots of sun and then forced myself to workout as hard as possible each day. I think this is why my energy came back within a little over 2 weeks. Just don't workout late in the day as sleep is hard enough at that stage.
Are you exercising? Make sure you sweat like crazy! If you have access to a sauna I highly recommend.
You are getting closer and closer each day. Just take deep breaths and know that the energy will be returning soon. The more YOU do the faster it comes back okay?

Yes it's a journey but day 10 is amazing. Hang in there! You're doing awesome. It takes the body a while to readjust.
