Stopped taking my Vicodin

I am having a very hard time sleeping with maybe just a couple hours off sleep a night. Muscle and joint pain in my arms and legs is driving me nuts. So hard not to take a pill to get rid of the pain but so far so good. I have been weaning myself off of them and am down to 1/2 pill a day and will completely quit in two more days. I never want to go through this again! Any advice? I did not know insomnia was a detox symptom. Anything you can do to relieve aching muscles and joints. Even my hands hurt. Thanks.

Might as well stop taking the vics....a half a pill isnt going to do anything for you. Yes insomnia is a major symptom of detox. People have used valerian root (an herb) to some success. Try taking some tylenol or advil....hot baths or shower...heating pads. Its miserable but you should start to feel better in a few days. Good luck.
