Stopping Klonopin and Wellbutrin

I will be talking to my doctor in another 8 weeks, but he is out of town and I wanted to get some advice now.  I have been taking Klonopin 0.5mg for about 6 months now,  I take 1/2 a pill at bedtime.  I have been taking Wellbutrin SR 100mg ER, twice a day for about 8 months.  I want to go off of both and wanted to see what others have done.  Thanks in advance for your help.

We are planning on having another baby, so I want to be off all meds.  I took the Wellbutrin for depression, which was just diagnosed in the past year.  The Klonopin I took at night for anxiety and sleep.  I can wait to see my doctor, just being impatient I guess :-) Thanks for the replys, everyone is so nice!

I would have sent a private message but it'd not available..hmm. Anyway..google Ashton Manual. It's best to go over this with your Dr. ..bring to your next appt. There are schedules for AD's as well as Klonapin by a Professor Ashton. Here's another: Benzo Buddies . org

Hi and welcome. Both Klonapin and Welbutrin should be tapered...no c/t with BENZOS..possible seizure and more. I will send you a link with taper schedules. Here on the forum. we are not allowed to do so.

I took Wellbutrin  to get off smoking. It helped with the anxiety and made me more focused- I could get much more work done . I don't remember anything bad about it except for the cost. I belive I did taper and the WD was not too bad. Why do you want to stop?

Why have you been taking them and why are you wanting to stop??  This will be helpful info as others read this post.  Good luck!!
