Stopping Zoloft

When I was w/d from hydros I was put on Zoloft for depression and I do not think they work well for me. When I go 1 day w/o I start getting the shocks in my head. I am planning on tappering them but I was wandering if anyone has been on Zoloft before and your experience with it.

You can taper off these anti-depressants fairly easy and fast. Calculate how much you need to drop down each day, so that you'll be off them in 7 to 11 days. You really shouldn't feel any discomfort, as long as you don't drop your dose drastically each day.
Good luck.

thats really all i can remember about zoloft
well, i quit for a reason, anti-depressants make me mean, and manic
i recently tried cymbalta, well i took it one time a couple of weeks ago
it was too strong for my taste, i felt wired, but serveral of my na friends say cymbalta helped them with depression and pain
good luck, changing psyc. meds is not easy, but you will be fine

Thanks for responding. I was on Lexapro before and think I was better on that. I take 100mg of Zoloft now. I had w/d with the Lexapro. I dread going through it.

I've been on Zoloft just 4 months short of 10 years....have only been acdicted to pain pills since 2006 tho.   I increased my doasge from 100 mgs to 150 mgs recently so that the medicine has a chance to start working at 150 before I detox from suboxone.  If I ever miss a dose of Z, I get sick.  You will go thru WD's from this medicine.
