Subotex Dosage?

I am taking approximately 320mg a day of Oxy contin.  Does any one know how many mgs of Subotex I should be taking to get off the pain meds.  I took a few this morning and they did nothing for me.  Please help

Yes, it is. It also has a ceiling effect, so 32 mgs is it..anything after that is a waste.

If you do it right, thru a doctor..it will help you. You are going to have to put in a little footwork if you want to get clean.

Are you under a Dr's supervision for this. As I understand it is  a tricky drug that we can't administer to ourselves. I have never used the Sub but I am so very glad that you have taken a step toward being clean. Someone will jump in here with an answer for you. Hang tight.

If you just swallowed them, they won't do anything.  They have to be absorbed into the bloodstream.  Under your tongue are lots of veins and capillaries, that is why you are supposed to take it that way.

I have seen people just eat them and it does absolutely nothing.

If you swallowed the pills then I believe the other part of the drug will render the good and helpful part of the drug as useless. You do have to dissolve under the tongue because the bad part of the drug is not readily absorbed that way. Please understand this is just what little info I have pulled from the internet and is in NO WAY an expert opinion.

I ams incredibly glad that you are facing this problem and looking for the solutions, but, you have chosen a path that is BEST handled by a Dr. I know you said a Dr. is not an option at this time but this is a very tricky compound that REALLY requires a Dr's supervision. PLEASE get the right help for this. If you want to taper your use over 2-4 weeks or go c/t then there is a wealth of info right her and a ton of people willing to help, BUT the Sub is a professional drug and not for us to try and self medicate.

Like kimkim said, you are already 1.5 days into this. Man, just grit your teeth and hang on. You are going through the tough part right now, Day 5 should turn a corner for you. Keep posting... we are here for you.

i know i wont get high on the pills i take after sub but will the pain subside?

how do you take subutox? do you put it under your tongue?

I took the subutex, which doesnt block anything.  I still feel the crazt withdrawal effects.  I took 5 pills (8mg ea) and my wife took 6.  Is that too much?

the problem now is that now you have taken the suboxone, if that is what is was, is that if you do take your pills the suboxone will block the effects. suboxone will stay in your system about 36 hours before any of your regular pills will have any effect. maybe since you have started the sub you should really give it a try since you now have a day and a half anyway. give it a couple of days. you may be pleasantly surprised at how well it really works. no wd, no cravings etc...please keep posting and let us know how it is going. someone is almost always here. youv'e already made such a big step, keep  going!

OK..so you took 32 mgs. Were you in withdrawal when you took them? that is so important.

What do you mean you can;t continue without relapsing? I am confused about that.

i took 4 8m pills thruout the day, the last one was 30 min ago...i am just now feeling a little better,,,I dont think i will be able to continue this treatment without relapsing

OH BOY..I hesitate to say anything. I did the program, but I did it through a doctor. You don;t even know for sure if they are Sub. So, this is scary. When you say you took a  few this morning, how many? What mg?

where did you get the sub? your doc should give you full instructions. i am on 8mg twice daily which i have to put under my tongue until it dissolves which usually takes about 15 minutes, tastes terrible but the first time i took it the wd went away within 20 minutes. miracle. i was taking 300mg a day (60 5mg pills of roxicet-percocet without the tylenol) when i started the sub, waited until 12 hours after my last pill when i started to feel bad then started the suboxone. i have read some posts that say they waited 24 to 36 hours before they started because if you are not in wd it could be a really bad situation. i think they called it precipitated wd. BAD NEWS from what i have read. wait for a few more posts from more exp suboxone users. this is just my experience and i definitely don't want to lead you down the wrong road. hang in there, it will work if taken properly. honest.

Where did you get them? I am guessing not form a doctor? you should go thru a doctor and get on the program. They are not something you should be buying on the street, if that is what you are doing. If not, if you did them thru your doctor, then what did he/she say to do?
