Subox withdrawl. Please help

I have been on suboxen for apprx 6 mos down to 8mgs. Recently my doctor lowered me down to 6 and the following day we left for mexico.  I took it for 2 days and by the end of the second day I started to suffer very uncomfortable withdrawls.  Not thinking at the time, I bumped back up to 8 mgs to remain comfortable and before I knew it i was out before my next doctors appointment.  I called my doc and the nurse said that sub cannot be called in and that she'd let the doctor know.  I was panicking and crying over the phone afraid he would be upset.  IF that was all that would happen i would have been blessed.  The nurse called back and said that my doctor would no longer be providing the subox. becuase it had not been taken as prescribed and the risks of licensure problems, and that he had other patients on it etc.however he would still be my doctor and provide all other forms of care, i.e. depression etc.  So...now it has been 8 days and OMG the withrawls are getting worse by the minute...what is happeneing?? When is this going to get better???  My percocet withdrawls were nothing in comparison.  What can i do??? i have to work tomorrow and i don't think i can.  How long are these withdrawls going to last? Please...anyone....help!!!!!!!!!!!

yes...shame on your doctor...and sub CAN be called in to any pharmacy, that was an outright lie by him or his nurse...his refusal to help you shows he has no understanding of addiction at any rate...i am so sorry you are having this problem...you will have a long road ahead of you if you dont find another sub doctor to taper you properly...or at least call him back and ask for clonidine, it REALLY does help tremendously!! it helped me with my methadone withdrawals more than i could describe...
i am allowed to adjust my dose to the way i see fit as long as i discuss it with her first, afterall, i am the one that knows how i feel, she doesnt... i could go all the way back up to 32 mgs if i wanted...but because wanting more isnt one of the things that comes with suboxone, i have gone from 32 mgs down to 10 mgs, and will be dropping another 2 mgs soon...
if you need help finding a doctor ASAP...shoot me a PM, i can and will help you with this...just let me know...
i hope you find a solution to this...this is really unfair treatment by your doctor...and his reasons for not helping you is nothing but BS from him...he is supposed to be there to help you with this and so it is comfortable for YOU, not for his d**n license...doses can be changed on a daily basis (if needed) if he was interested in really helping...and would have NO effect on his license...after i started sub, because of the methadone and its half life...my dose was adjusted countless times for the first  3 months because i couldnt get comfortable...you got a bad doctor hun, and i am so sorry...
let me know if i can help...

Hon, i feel so bad for you.  I went through those sub w/ds and it lasted 2 weeks.  Gets better gradually though.   I went off of the sub at 2 mg.  So, i cannot even imagine how bad it is for you.  Shame on your dr. for not helping you.  I would show up at his office this morning and plead for some help.  TJack

I took a valium and am gonna watch some movies.....I am going to try and not go to the ER because my other half will kill me cuz of the cost.  He just came out here and asked why i'm not sleeping and to try and sleep and to stay strong........I've made it this far.....I can fight this.....I just need that positive attitude and help from all of you....

Sounds like your bp is through the roof.  You need clonodine.  a blood pressure med.  I used valium once my bp was under control and only a few times to help me sleep.  It too is very addictive and can cause severe withdrawls if abused.....not to say that you will....just a heads up so that you don't.....  If you decide to go to ER be 100% honest with your attending physician.  Especially about anything you have taken.

Yes go to ER explain the situation, valium wont hold you really and not a long term solution, hopefully you can get to another GP and get some sub restart your taper but this time alot slower even if its 6mo. The GP was an idiot saying he wont see you again, we all stuff up now and again keep us informed

I'm sorry I can't be of more help except to say "thomas recipe."  Although wait2long and ILovelukey disagree with me on this matter, given that most people disagree with me anyhow, I suggest maybe you PM them and  maybe they can help you??  I'm truly sorry your going through this.....and i truly wish I had some form of a more viable solution for you...if you have xanax or perhaps a hot bath or a valium???  If it gets too bad head to ER......I really don't see any other options....all the best.....keep posting....

because you haven't tapered your withdrawl will be slightly worse than that of narcs.  I too have suffered what you are going through and withdrawn from suboxene and before that I went through methadone withdrawl.  Both were the hardest i've ever gone through.  I would suggest you find another doctor as soon as you are able and finish tapering.  Look up the thomas recipe and head to walmart if you can for the ingredients.  all the best.
