I am clean from suboxone for now, day 11.
For about 10 years I suffered with chronic headaches on the back lower left side of my head.  This began in 1998.  I had several brain MRI's, but nothing showed and I had been to several doctors and specialists.  Finally on November 10 2009 I had an MRI of my spine and bingo, there was the problem.  My c6, and c7 were bulging causing spinal stenosis.  My pain management specialist started me on 5/500 hydrocodone 2 x per day.  I took this for 9 months, however by that time I was prescribed it 4 X per day.  I had a spinal injection in October of 2010.  My pain was gone, and now it was time to stop taking meds and man did I receive a shocker.  Withdrawal was horrible.  I got on the net to find help and found a suboxone dr.   I started taking suboxone in November 2010 and tapered down to 2 mg for one month, then 1 mg for one week, then got off.  I have been off now since Thursday, 2/17/2011 at 6 pm PST, and today is Thursday, February 24, 2011 at 2:30 pm PST.  I suffered through some pretty bad withdrawals the first 3 days however today I actually got out of bed on the fourth day at 7 am and took a walk for 30 minutes.  It wasn’t pleasant however it was necessary.  My wife has been by my side the entire way.  I also have been blessed by a wonderful doctor who has responded to all my needs and has corresponded with my wife frequently. My daily regimen starts with an Epsom’s salt bath for no less than 30 minutes (1 level tablespoon),  1 -smoothie, 1 glass of coconut water, 1 glass of Gatorade, a lot of H2O, 1- multivitamin, 1-calcium, magnesium, zinc mix, 1-L-Theanine, 30 drops of Turmeric, 30 drops of Milk Thistle two times a day (one in morning, and one at night), and finally end my day with an Epsom’s salt bath for no less than 30 minutes.   The food I have been eating is bananas, dry toast or crackers, and of course Lorazepam 0.5 mg as need for anxiety.  I have lost 30 pounds in the past 11 days; however my spirit has been the best today.  And by the way I pray to God allot.

That's pretty bad!    What dose was he on?

Force fluids and keep him as comfortable as can be. If you can get an Rx for Phenergan that would help. Try Peptobismal and Immodium. Hot baths really help.

There's not much else.  I'm very sorry.
