Suboxone

I took a 2mg suboxone in the am and 2mg in pm for two days to try and get off those dam roxi's. My last dose of 2mg was yesterday at 5:30pm.   As I keep reading and researching about suboxone I am getting more and more afraid that I am going to have withdrawals from the suboxone(which I heard was worse).  I am contiplating not taking the suboxone today and just stopping.  Will I gert withdrawals from suboxone from taking it for 2 days?  If so how long do you think they will last?

Thank you so much.  You have made me feel alot better.  Do you think  it's safe to take a .25 of xanax today being as I haven't taking the suboxone since last night at 5:30 and am not planning on taking it at all today.  I was up all night with anxiety about this.

Hi bb,

The problems with suboxone are more from taking long term, not short term for detox from another opiate.  While suboxone is very strong, 2 mg for a short term should be easy to stop taking. Typically, it takes about 5 days to detox from another opiate.  Talk with your suboxone doctor on a plan to stop taking after your initial detox from Roxi's.  You should be able to stop taking the suboxone later this week.  If you are only taking 2mg, you would probably want to start by dosing only once per day - in the morning - dosing twice per day is not necessary.  Then, once you can do that without feeling much withdrawal - if any at all - try skipping a day and taking only once every 48 hours.  Then drop down to 1mg every 48 hours and then drop off completely.  Best of luck and congrats on your desire to quit.
