Suboxone

I tried posting to a Dr but it disappeared so I will try again. I was on 120-150mgs of percocect dailey for 5 years due to degenerative hip disease and herniated disks in my back. I recently felt it has gotten out of control and want to stop. I went to detox in August spent 6 days there with methodone treatment but left feeling just as sick so started percs again. Sun I started suboxone 20mg Mon I took 16mg Tues 14mg and Wed 8mg. Today I am going for 4-6mg then Fri 2-4 and hopefully nothing this weekend as I am off work and can go through some wds. I am wondering how bad it will be and is this acceptable taper process. My dr. wants to keep me on subs for a few months but I have heard horror stories about wds after a couple months of subs so want to get it over with in a week. So is it also safe to this as well? Thanks for your time I appreciate it.

Hi there -

Our Addiction Expert forum is closed, so when you try and post to an existing thread in that forum, it will bounce it back over here.  We do not currently have an Addiction Expert, but it seems as if you are getting some good info from our members in this community.
