Subutex and Suboxone have been approved!

Just letting you know that Subutex and Suboxone, high dose buprenorphine sublingual tablets, have been approved by the FDA for the treatment of opiate dependence.  Here is the story:  http://www.fda.gov/bbs/topics/ANSWERS/2002/ANS01165.html

Very great news!  Oh yeah, if someone else has posted this info, sorry.  I haven't read anything else.  I just got this info and wanted to pass it on.

Great news Skip!!!!! The ole Pharmicist should mind his own business so long as it is a legit scipt, for legit surgery.

It just goes to prove one of my favorite sayings, (What goes around, comes around)!!!!! Chalk one up for the real human beings and not these pretend gods!!!!

Take care,

GOD
HAHAHA!

I'm glad you won this fight... Fuckin' doctors/medical community/whatever.......

I wish I could have seen the look on the pharmacist's face.. The *******!

To everyone out there reading this: Skip's a GREAT human being with a Legit pain condition WARRANTING a reasonable dosage of good pain meds. It pisses me off to the extreme to see this kind of **** happen [Pharmacist takes on the duty of Doctor/God]-- These are the type of pharmacists that if they EVER do that to ME, will be getting a knock on their door at HOME by the local and friendly DEA and ATF agents... (that have gotten a "tip" from a trusted "communtiy leader" that our pharmacist friend has been selling pharmacy stock to "outsiders")-- Lets talk about PLAYING GOD... HAHAHA

I hope you're feeling O.K. right now, Skip, If you need anything, just gimme' a call!

We can hit that Sunday Breakfast AA/NA meeting @10:00 in MY neighborhood if you feel up to it~!

Good night to all of you, and thanks for you guys' thoughts(if yer' agnostic) and prayers(if you beleive in that "higher power") -- No religion debates from THIS guy tonight; I'll just leave it at this:

"I've found out, through meditation, and observation, that the living GOD exists in ALL of us."-- Jess P. 10/10/2002

Angels go out to everyone tonight!

hey everone;
i'm back from a minor nghtmare in  what is supposedly the best health care system in the world today!! i don't want to complain,
but my wife and i were certainly put through the wringer today! i had carpal tunnel surgery this a.m. prior to this, earlier in the week, i had my monthly visit to the pain clinic. my pain doc knew about my upcoming surgery told me that the surgeon would cover the extra postop pain control i would need.
the surgeon had no problem with this, and when he came out to see my wife, irishrose, after the surgery, he said the guy's gotta tolerance like a horse so i am writing for some roxicodone to cover the postop pain he will have. home we went with the rx. she settled me in at home and went to our local neighborhood mega grocery store that has a pharmacy where we both get all our rx filled to get this and some Krispy Kreem donuts!  she came home with donuts and an attitude but no rx. it seems the pharmacists took it upon himself to determine what my postop pain needs were and not fill the rx as he decided that my regular oxy should "cover" this. he did put a call in to the surgeon to see if he really really wanted me to have this rx indeed.
so of course i called the surgeons office and they said they would call me back. so i then called my pain docs office and got the doc on call and told him of my dilemma.  he called the pharmacy and set the pharmacist straight. i got my rx and an apology from the pharmacist. just a few minutes ago, i got a phone call from the surgeons office telling me they would not fill my rx. too late, ha ha, i already got it. such good communication, the pain docs office and surgeons office are both in the same hospital complex, could they communicate with each other? hell no.  i am dictating this too irishrose as my one fingered typing was too taxing. as usual people.......

Mr. Mike,

This is Muddy.  You just made my day!  Fantastic news!  I'm trying to get more info.  I have really been in the crapper lately and this may be the ticket out.

My computer completely crashed and I could not get back into EZ Board; I came back here after a long absence and saw a lot of familiar folks who seem to be coming here more.  Is the other board still up?

Thomas, are you out there?  Good to see your wit and insight back here where it belongs.  Hope you said hello to Dr. Steve.

Anybody else from EZ Board here?
