Suspension from job for marijuana use

I just got suspended from my job for coming up with marijuana in my blood when I took a blood test for a workers comp case. I had smoked the day before they requested I take the blood test. I was in extreme pain and nothing seemed to be helping when I smoked some of my wifes medical marijuana (she is a medical marijuana card holder in Oregon) for the pain. The next day they called me and said I had to take the blood test. I did so and now that the company has found it in my system they suspended me from work. Does anyone else have a similar experience and can you tell me what steps I can take to resolve my issue?

What steps can you take??  Dont smoke it anymore.  It is for your wife.  Some companies around here require some sort of aftercare if you have a dirty test.  If you follow the rules they set forth you can keep your job.......other places just can you, depending on your type of job.  May as well be honest with them.....sara
