Sorry I didn't say WAY TO GO!  I am proud of you and cannot imagine two weeks without these evil pills.  I thank you for sharing with me.  You keep it up.  YOU are an inspiration to us.  Tell me more about the depression meds if you can. (anytime) I am on a ton of it. creek

Thank you for sharing with me.  No I am not going through menapause...I obviously sweat and stress because I am an addict. I thought I could blame it on something. I am the only one to blame though.  I have read your notes to several people.  You are well informed and I wish you the very best in your ongoing struggles. I am glad I can talk to you. I am here for you as well.  Thank you.

Yea... the sweats "heavy duty" are more from withdrawl (withdrawal).

I never "partied" with these things.  Or so I didn't think I was chasing the high.  Although I know now in the beginning it gave me "energy"... I don't have to go through the whole tirade you know... you just need more and eventually more and DO LESS.

As your body adjust to the usage dosage you go through mini-withdrawl between each dose.  Now..if you are in menopause.. you'll have the sweats anyway...but withdrawl (withdrawal) worsens the whole thing.

Mine have truly almost vanished in the last week.  Go Figure!

Gotta run....

This will be quick because I'm leaving to go out...but

After you are on Vics Oxy... whatever for a great deal of time, as I posted in my last post... you need more and more to feel the same.   Well.. more and more is hard to get.  Simply speaking w/o looking up all the medically correct terminology... what happens is your body adjust to it's current level.. between doses you start to experience mini withdrawal... first thing is being Anxious.   Soooooo... off we go for another RX... we get valium, xanax, Ativan, whatever... just is another addicting thing... but it evens us out.

During the last few months.. I was feeling so crappy the Dr. Gave me Lexapro.. that lasted about two-weeks.. it was awful.  So I stayed with the Xanax.   I know/knew nothing about Benzo's.I've never been depressed.  Yea.. of course I've had my down times nothing to write home about though.

I've been on Zanax now for 9 months...but only to help me sleep. Then I had the bright idea.. I'd use the Xanax to help me with W/D from the Vics... and it did.  I slept through the worst of it...soooooooooo after a week of being off the Vics I got disgusted and threw the Xanax away.

The Dr. originally wanted to give me Valium and I told her no I thought it would be too addicting.  I had no idea that Xanax was the KING of benzo's.  Bright as I am... I've never had to take anything like this before.  I thought it was this miracle thing w/little to no withdrawal involved.

Boy was I ever wrong.  For as much reading and research as I do it's just not anything that I got into...because I never had the need to know.

So... I won't mess with this one.  I should be off of it in a month to 6 weeks.   No one could survive the Anxiety level I went through this Wed and be OK.  It was indeed an expeirence.

I have very little knowledge about anti-depressants.  This is my first experience with it.  Now you know what I know.

One day at a time dear...be determined... you'll get there.

XoXo

the sweating:  i am on day 16 or 17, can't remember which, but i woke up this morning w/my pillow so wet, the sheet below was wet as well,  my hair is soaked and the collar of my shirt damp as well.  fortunately, this only happens when i sleep more than 5 hours.  i was also told by my methadone dosing nurse you get rid of drugs 3 ways, pee them out, sweat them out, wait them out.  so i embrace the night sweats.  your body will take care of you.  it is especially powerful during sleep.

My body taking care of itself would be a concept if my mind would get out of the way.  Thanks for encouraging me to embrace my body and trust it.  An amazing thing is I do meditate and try to get in touch with a healing force within.  Drugs just overpower the good in me.
