Switch from 2mg xanax to 10mg valium

Hi everyone,
I made the switch from the xanax 2mg bars to 10mg of valium to start my taper off of these benzos altogether. The problem is when I take a 10mg valium I can't even keep my eyes open. I've taken Kloopin 2mg and xanax 2mg for years and never had this problem. I have a job to keep which means there is no way in hell I will be able to take these valium at work. Should I call my doctor and get switched back to the 2mg klonopin?? Does everyone fall right asleep from these Valium?? Please provide any input to help me. You guys are awesome. Thank You.
