ADDICTION: SUBSTANCE ABUSE COMMUNITY
THANKS

THANKS

You guys are great that posted my last question.  I would have to say the Clonidine and Nuerontin are helping with the cravings for sure .  I am not sure which one is doing the trick.  I tried 3 or 4 times to go cold T without the help of the 2.  By day two I could not stant it and was calling my buds to hook me up.  I have nooo desire to do that with the help from my doc.  I am glad I told him I wanted to quit the Vics.  Believe me, he was glad to help kick this habit.  I see him on Tues which will be day 6.  I wonder how I will feel then.  OH yea when do the RUNS quit (NASTY).

Once again you guys thanks for evertything.  I will be post here for a long long long time. I want to help other people to like you guys are doing.  We need to hang in there like a TEAM and beat this FREAKING DRUG.

don't forget to stay hydrated. lots of water and gatorade. dehydration magnifies withdrawals. with the excessive urination and diarrhea it can lead to a problem. replenish your potassium with bananas or supplements as well.

It should start to ease up after a week, but it gave me a few surprise attacks a few weeks later.  I didn't take the immodium ( I wanted that stuff out of me).   I was on day 10 and thought the diarea (diarrhea) was over with. Went to meet with interior decorators in a vacant house to do an estimate for work.  The estimate was for the bathroom, so there we all stood in the bathroom when my stomach started going nuts. Couldn't just ask them to leave. lol    I highley recommend keeping the immodium with you for a few weeks.
Also if you lose your appetite, try and drink some Boost. Stay strong.  Hugs,  Mary
