I hafta say that when I was using I was the ONLY PERSON making me FEEL THIS WAY... like poop! I think that that was one of the determining factors for me WANTING to get clean... I was tired of making MYSELF feel this way.
I'm clean 2 weeks to this day and you are right on-------I feel the best

Great post Avisg but your post is actually applicable to life...you are what you choose to accept; if it don't feel right, then it probably isn't.

I only stopped when I realised I was the only one in control of what I was doing.I blamed someone else for 33 yrs,he
Great post avis. Taking responsibility for our own actions is the key here. Without doing that you just keep spinning in circles. sara
Avisg, you could not be more correct here. Thanks for posting. My addiction dragged on for over 20 years before I finally stopped making excuses and blaming others for my problem. Like you indicated, I had to take responsibility - I wanted to quit and be clean - no one else does this for us.
your rite avisg...we can not blame anyone for our addictions! Our lives are our responsibilty,,,the doctors might could be more knowledgeable//caring, but in the end its on US to be responsible
Great post Avisg!!!!!!!! I think one of the biggest most important steps in recovery for me was finally taking responsibility for my addiction.I caused it and I needed to do the work to fix it,and I continue to work my recovery every day,and just like you, 633 days later,I'm still learning and growing...All the best...Kim
Thank you Avisg a Positive attitude is what is partially responsible for saving my life.. lesa
