Taking and Replacing

I have a question for my fellow "addicts".  When you were using, did you ever take some of a friends pills and replace them with something else?  Guess I am just looking to see if anyone was as bad of a person as me.

Do you mean that you stole a friend narc and replaced it with Tylenol or something? Sorry its late here and I am tired....LOL

OK, I am assuming that is what you mean, and I had my meds stolen before, more than once, and when it happened to me, I knew my Mom had the same thing, so I stole some of hers, but I never put anything in place of them. I just took about 10 out of a bottle of about 60.

ive done somthing like this like i told my buddy i knew somone that would buy his scipt of percs i thought i did at the time but eventually i just ended up taking like half of um and gave the rest back it blew costed me some cash yea its all bad ugh i hate those memories

i did this to my buddy that was worse than me cause i thought hed be diggin through my cabbinit one night were all sittin round playin cards and i went to the bathroom and i was like hmm wonder if hes gona look so i took an empty bottle and filled it with a **** ton of lil asprin and i left the cap off and closed the cabinit door so the bottles on an angle

lets just say the next time i went to the bathroom i found like 8 asprin that he missed on the floor

uumm i never replaced them with anything, but i did take pills that did not belong to me.

Sue....this is something another member posted a while back. I thought it was fitting to this post, there is a part 2 and 3 also and part 3 is where ppl from the forum gave him ideas and things we have done to get pills.

In case you never read part 1....I thought I would bring it up here so part 2 will make sense


Tell me...do you have this in your life too?

1. wake up and hit the pill bottle even before you pee
2. can't wait until your next dose
3. feel relief right when the pill touches your tongue
4. smile when you leave the pharmacy from ear to ear
5. sometimes feel or always feel like someone took your exiting life away
6. wonder where your sex drive is ( sorry for the being blunt)
7. ever dropped one (pill) on the ground out in public and freaked out saying,"No One Move"
8. can't remember what life used to be like before the pills and don't care until it(pill) wears off
9. strain so hard to deficate that you are scared to have a blood vessel pop in your brain
10.not want to eat before you take a pill because your scared it will take away the effect
11.scared to tell other people about what you take for fear they will look at you like a junkie
12. lost a job because your a liability
13. lost your pills and worried that they(doctors) will think you made it up for more meds
14  chewed up the pill to make it work faster
15. say to yourself " I can take an extra one today and just take one less tommorrow" but find yourself saying that almost everyday, and at the end of the month.....your screwed!!!

This is just 15 of the hundreds of things I experience in my life. I don't know if you have had any of this but I could go on and on! Believe it or not, I don't abuse them other than taking an extra pill now and then (then more than now).

I need off these white devils now...period (as I just took that extra pill)

Yes my husband had rotor surgery twice in a year would take his hydro and swap them with naproxn!! I felt and feel awful!! but I told him and he forgives me hes the best!! he kinda of chuckled when I told him he is a light weight when it comes to pills (never takes em) said boy I was thinking these arent working for me anymore he got worried!! despreate horrible things we do as addicts!!

YES, took expired vics from someone, i know they werent using them and replaced with calcium supplement that looked like them. i stole numerous pills from people, but the only time i replaced was then. guess i justified it by knowing they were in the "throw away" expired pile.

ugh yes, yes i have. i too replaced them with a calcium vitamin supplement because it was same size and shape (but for crying out loud, those things dont even have any number imprints or logos on them or anything, just a smooth plain pill!)

Yes, swapped my mothers cough med that had Hydro in it , with Robitussin.  Can't believe the stuff I did.

yes I did took my stepmoms little oxycotins and replaced them with asprin. i never did get caught but have had to live with the guilt of being a very sneaky and big time addict!!!! The guilt never goes away.

I did this a lot. I repalced them most of the time with dummy look alikes and one time even dyed other pills to match. It's pretty sleezy even if they are expired and I'm not proud. Now I just don't open up pandoras box and often avoid peoples bathrooms.
