Tapering Schedule...

Hey Guys. You have all saved me from feeling like I was all alone in feeling the aches, pains, emotional thoughts and the crazies I was going through on CT day 2. However, I felt that it was the right decision to taper, instead of go CT because of the mg i was taking. (60mg oxy). I am on a tapering schedule of 40mg for 2 days, then 30mg for 2 days, then 20mg for 2 days then 10mg for 2 days and then CT. Let me know If you have any other tapering schedules that you feel fits better than this. But if not, I am going to stick with this, keep posting on this forum (because all of you have been a godsent) and I am going to try out the amino acids. Thank you all for your support in doing this, we are all here for the same reason.... TO BE CLEAN and so be it I am going to do it!! Any encouragement would be great, as I feel very strong about this and I feel like I can do this. I am sorry for slipping up, but i felt that it was too soon and too fast to go CT...

thank you all so much. I wanted to go the ct route, but I was seriously going insane!! and in this economy, I cannot afford to lose my job because of my addiction. Maybe in a few days I will decide that I am ready for CT. But I don't think I can handle it today like I did yesterday. 9 hours at work, squirming around in my chair trying to stay calm, not getting any work done, can get me in lots of trouble. Thank you all for your help, and I AM going to do this by September 1st. That is my date, and that is what I am sticking to. You all will see that I am gonna DO THIS!! :)
Thank you for the love.

I sucessfully tapered of a 2000mg Tram habit in 10 days but I did it by admiting myself to a hospital down here. My doctor was very good I told him how many Trams I wanted each day until I was clean. He had no problem except with some of the Nurses questioning him do you know how much your giving him!
Of course I was on Ivs to flush, had Chondline a little benzos for sleep and when I walked out of the hospital I never had any wds. To do this on my own never would had worked I would have had to go ct and bite the bullet.

You may need to take some time off work , tell them you have the flu or whatever.
I know your concerned about your energy level to work and lets face the truth you pop a pill and your ready to go on the keyboard and work.
You have a lot going on so one thing at a time its fixable if you truly want to be clean and that is really what you need to be able really want to be clean.
I assured you time heals many things and this to shall pass if you stick with it.
Peace

Good Morning...good to see you came back.

That is a quick taper schedule and you are going to feel it. There are very few members here who have successfully tapered because it is so hard to do. The temptation is there and when the withdrawal starts to kick in the urge to take "just one more" becomes overwhelming.

I suggest that if you have someone who can hold the pills for you and dose you, by all means...employ them.

Keep posting and talking. It is a huge help to connect with people who understand what you are going through.

I truly respect your honesty through all of this, but I need you to know that it sounds like the tapering schedule you have set out for yourself is a shortlived one. When I say that, I mean that I have read here on the forums when people have tapered over the course of several weeks and/or months - not a mere couple of days.

You already know that I went CT from the pills, so I honestly can't answer you about a tapering schedule even though I wish that I could help. I do know that a lot of the memebers here on the forums have bentured down this road in taking hold of a tapering schedule, and as soon as they sign up for the day they will more than likely be able to talk you through your latest decision.
