Tapering off morphine 30mg er

I have been on morphine 30mg twice a day for over a year. I have 2 herniated discs, arthritis in my lower spine and fibromyalgia. I hate how the morphine makes me feel and the fact that  addicted to them. I tried to go cold turkey but I work full time and don't have the time off required to do that. I told my dr that I wanted off them and just stay in lyrica for the fibro. She said taper method was the best way so she prescribed me 15mg 3 times per day for 2 weeks then twice per day for 2 weeks. Is this a gradual enough taper to avoid major withdraw? Thanks in advance for any feedback or suggestions you can offer, I want my life back from these things!

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 18 years ago and I'm on seven meds one of which is tramadol six a day plus all thw extras I can find. I also have arthritis in spine,  both knees, hands and feet. Years ago I welcomed all the relief I could get and I kinda whish that I could have toughed it out more than I did because I'm hooked on too many prescriptions now to even think about going back in time for redo. I sympathize with your pain and we are all here for you.

It sounds like a good plan to me.  You are lucky to have your doctor's support.  I have fibromyalgia as well and I'm on Lyrica for it.  I was also prescribed Tylenol with codeine for it but went off it and back on for dental problems.
Stick to the taper.  It's really hard to do but the easiest way to avoid bad withdrawal.
