Tapering

by LADYDI4185, Apr 21, 2009 07:29AM
I began tapering off 8 lortabs a day on 4/15/09.  i am down to 3 tabs a day and was wondering what successes people have had using this method?  How long did you stay at each tapered dose?  Did you still experience w/d's.  I have been taking lortab for approx. five years since have back surgery but only in the last year have i been at the highest dose of 8 per day.  I am happy that i am only taking 3 per day for the past two days but i must admit it is hard, i don't feel 100%.  Any comments/ help would be greatly appreciated!  ladydi4185

I think you are doing great Lady! From what I hear about tapers is people cut down their dose and stay on it until their bodies get used to the lower dose then they make another drop.I wish I had the will power to taper. If I were you I would stay on the dose you are on until your body gets used to it then maybe drop 1/2 of a pill until your body adjusts to that and so on.I am sure someone with more knowledge than I have will answer your question soon.I am so proud of you!Keep up the good work your almost done.I hope you have a great day today.
