Thank You

I just wanted to thank all of you for being so supportive. It is day 7 for me. I called a very good friend of mine who is a member of NA (I went to her second birthday party last year) and am going to begin attending meetings with her. I am so thankful that I found this site and while I know I have a long way to go, I do feel hope. I wish a very Happy Thanksgiving to you all and will definitely be posting. God bless you.

Congrats minn. 7 days of clean time is a big deal for an addict. I'm so glad you told your friend and will be going to NA. It's been a huge help for me.
I hope you find the courage to tell your hubby when your ready. Our secrets keep us sick. Addiction thrives on secrets.
One day at a time!

Congrats on 7 days!  Keep it going.  Recovery is a slow process and needs to be but oh so worth it.  Hold your clean time sacred.  I am happy to hear you have a friend in recovery and will be attending some meetings with her.  Surrounding yourself with clean friends will be a huge plus.  Have a Happy Thanksgiving, you have many things to be grateful for~~sara

It was very hard to admit that I let it get to this point. I still haven't told my husband... trying to get up the courage. He is a good man and took care of me and the house while I was "sick." It was also very hard for me to tell my friend even though she has been through it. I guess I am accustomed to holding things in. That is one of the things NA will help me with. Thank you again everyone!
