Thanks Everybody

Thank you everybody. I appreciate everyones responses. All with anxiety keep going. It DOES go away. There are a few relaxation techniques I have learned. I never took medication for it. I didn't want to depend on it. Maybe it would have helped, I just didn't do it. I have a program if anybody would be interested in it. Let me know.
As far as the drinking, I really think my anxiety is making me make too much out of it. I only actually "crave" beer every once in a while after a long day or something. Otherwise I feel I drink it too much to deal with the anxiety. I am on the down side of the anxiety. Every time over the last 10 years when it has hit me it gets shorter and shorter

Hey....I had major anxiety at about day3-4...it was stopping me in my tracks and I was afraid to go anywhere. It felt like a nervous breakdown. I did take xanax and that helped quite a bit but made me really tired so I stopped that.  I think it just passes with time and you just have to keep that in your head!  I still get depressed but once I am up and moving that dissipates as well.  I know these new emotions are hard to handle but it's so much better than the alternative...getting caught up in the cycle!  Keep strong!!! You're doing so great!

Hey, I have had persistant anxiety for many years, that is why now I have the xanax. Are there really techniques that can help without using the drugs? I would be very interested in learning what they are!
