The Road Back and Body Calm

Have any of you heard of the Road Back program and the supplements they suggest.  Body Calm and Body Calm supreme?  Do the supplements help with withdrawal sysmptoms or is this a scam to get you to but their products?  Sounds like it might help.  Could use some  input.  I am tapering off fioricet #3 and xanax.  Yesterday I was pretty shaky and panicky.  Need something to calm the panic and thought these supplements might help.  thanks for any info you might have.

I used Body Calm to taper off of Effexor three years ago.  I found it effective for managing the constant sense of panic I felt throughout the months-long process, as well as the shakes and insomnia.  I still take Body Calm Supreme as an occasional sleep aid.  If you're interested in CNS-supportive supplements, you might also be interested in Radiant Life, a website that sells natural-sourced Vitamin C, B complexes, and a host of Omega-3 and Omega-6 combinations.  I take these daily, and they've made an enormous difference in my ability to function.
Also, you may wish to investigate a drug called Deplin, which is L-methyl folate, a highly absorbable form of folic acid.  This is a precursor to the formation of serotonin.  It's a prescription drug, but some insurance carriers won't cover it because they consider it a form of food.  You can purchase it directly from the manufacturer.
All that said, please don't titrate down from the meds, at the dose, you've been taking without the supervision of a qualified and compassionate psychiatrist!  His or her guidance can mean the difference between a better quality of life off a drug you feel is no longer helping you and a horrible crash that lands you back on a higher dose.
Good luck, and God bless you.

The Road Back is not Scientology, unless you define scientology as something that's true and has been found to work when applied.

the road back is Scientology pure and simple.
If you want to be a Scientologist use the Road Back method and stay in touch with them.
And we'll never know what happened because they won't allow you to tell us.

My doctor recommended "***********.org" to me for xanax and ambien...it has made a HUGE difference!!  I wouldn't be as far as I am with weaning without the products!!  I was on .50mg of xanax every 8 hours...in 6 weeks, I am on .20mg of xanax every 12 hours.

the website is TRB Health to buy the supplements.

not a scam. but when you get off any pharmaceutical drug, you MUST taper off slowly.  You need the help of a doctor who is on board the The Road Back program. You can call The Road Back and get a list.
Pharmaceutical companies do not benefit from helping doctors help people cleanse, they put much pressure on doctors to push pills. That is the real scam.

the body calm supreme used to be manufactured by global dna solutions but trb health took over them. i have personally tried their power barley, protein formula, omega 3 and body calm capsules back then the body calm capsules only had 60 capsules in it. The power barley definitely provides the extra energy. I used to sleep like 5hours a night and I felt okay not very tired but when i stop taking power barley for a few weeks and i felt extremely tired when i only had 5 hours of sleep.

anyway i found a store which sells their body calm product.

Hi

I am new to this forum and I was reading your post.  I am also on Klonopin/clonazepam at .5 dosage and I want to wean off it.  I have be considering using the Road Back products also.   You mentioned that you found the Body Calm Supreme helpful.  Did you order the full Benzo package?  Did you experience and tinnitus when tapering off the drug?  I have tinnitus and I am concerned that my noise will get worse once I try to come off the clonazepam.  I was originally on Ativan for sleep and had horrible withdrawals when I tried to come off and it also made my noises worse.  I would  appreciate your advice.  The people at Road Back also seem nice to talk to....

About a year ago, I had a very bad experience when I missed a few doses of Klonepin. It was then that I realized that this drug was not to be taken lightly and getting off of this medication would be difficult. Coincidentally, I happened to come across this website, The Road Back", and it had a list of drugs, Klonepin included, that can't be stopped.

To make a long story short, I emailed Jim at The Road Back and he suggested that I go to my doctor, ask for a prescription for a compounding formula for Klonepin (very small doses) and gradually withdraw from it. I did this and it took me months to come off of the medication, but it worked. Aside from this, I have used Body Calm Supreme for over a year. It is a good product and works well. I also take Melatonin with Body Calm Supreme (before I go to bed) and it's very effective.

I don't think this is a scam - I have benefitted greatly from The Road Back and Body Calm supreme.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
The Road Back program claims to offer a safe way to taper off of antidepressants using a supplement called Body Calm which contains in 2 tablets: Tart cherry concentrate 1064.8 mg and Other ingredients: Rice Bran, Silicon Dioxide, according to their website.

It would be dangerous to stop medication without the guidance of your physician, not only due to the side effects of stopping the drugs but also due to the return of the symptoms they were intended to treat which can include life threatening symptoms of wanting to commit suicide.
