The big 70!

Well I have not posted in a while been really busy! 70 days and counting! Wow feeling better every day....My daughter is getting married in Nov. so have been doing a lot to get ready for that. Her bridal shower was last weekend and it was a very busy weekend!

Still not feeling 100% but feeling better. Still fighting the energy and 2 tons of weight on my shoulders every time I try to do some thing, but I am clean so forward I move!

I know a  lot has to do with stress and boy do I have it right now! Too much going on but I want to be clean and sober for my daughters wedding, and years after that! Its been a journey and not one I want to ever go on again!
I know things happen and this is why I am doing this again, accidents happen and we have no way to control them. All we can do is recognize our abusive habits and stop before it starts. I thank God and all my friends on here for being there for me and holding my hand again!
I am still in a lot of pain but when I started to abuse my meds I knew I had to stop! If not for the people on here I would of never seen it coming again! I will deal with the pain not to abuse again!
Take each day as they come and be thankful for being clean! No one can do this alone and I love all of you here and pray for each of you!

Kari

Good to hear from you, Kari.....and a big WOOHOO for your 71 days now!

Can't think of anything more fun (but also stressful) than helping to plan a wedding!  Whew!  The joy and the planning are probably helping keep your mind and hands busy.  Just be sure the stress doesn't overload you...schedule some quiet, relaxing moments for YOU along the way, K?

From one previously broken pelvis to another (hahahaha)....you go girl!!!
Hope to see you more on the forum as you are able☼

You're doing great; there is no turning back now!   70 days is a milestone...you are definitely on the downhill side of your withdrawals.

I understand about lingering symptoms. I'm a year out and still have messed up sleep, but at least I can REMEMBER what I'm doing day to day, and I'm not falling asleep at my computer!

Congrats on your daughter and on your courage!!
