I know you are right but I have a theory so hear me out .when you  do a cleanse or fast it detoxes your body right? Soo if I am staying hydrated and taking my vitamins, then that could aid in the detox process, am I right? I know my body meeds fuel but I can only eat very little right now, like a banana in the morning and the a little bit of dinner. Im trying! and Im feeling a bit better, its just this sleep s***! I am actually feeling pretty good right this minute. At least the 10 pounds I gained last year are almost gone, lol! The Sub diet, drs will probably market it for wait loss sometime in our lifetime, what a joke. Let me know how you slept and how you feel today! love love love Carrie

Hey girl! Force feed yourself!! I had to the first few days and oh Man it makes a huge difference!! I are nothing but chicken noodle soup the first 4 days an I had no appetite at all but I forced it on myself. Food is fuel for your body and when you eat, you WILL feel better. Oddly, my appetite has returned and I think I am eating more now than I have in a few years. I have never been a big eater. Never! BUT..... I know I have to to regain strength. The sooner you get food in your body, the quicker you will feel better! That's the nurse talking in me:)

Thanks tim, I am doing pretty much everything you said, I get out now and I have my first addiction therapy meeting Monday, then I will decide on NA, which pretty much terrifies me.Im not doing any benzos been down that hellish road before, just trazadone at night while I need it. I got the l-tyrosine, I know its an amino acid but what exactly does it help with? I drink a lot ,Im always thirsty, but the eating part is really hard, I know I need to change that, but ive just been doing some protein shakes. How are you at 45 days? Im day 15 but I keep it positive, . Let me know about the l-tyrosine, and how day 45 is going for you. I would really appreciate it! XOXO CarrieAnne

Thanks for the advice, I plan on doing the Epsom slats baths as much as I can, I don't use immodium because I didn't have that particular problem and Im not on valium because I had a very nasty benzo addction before. I take trazadone at night just while all this is going on or else I would only sleep 15 minutes a night, with major rls, but that has seemed to subside ,early week 3 is looking up for me (hope I didn't just jinx myself! Be well Jethro!

Awesome! Keep it up, it should only get easier from here, I already take a lot vitamins, but not the ones the thomas recipe suggests, my regular vitamins are not really cutting it right now, but I feel that is to be expected. I will get to uour pm soon, and thanks! XOXO C.

I 2nd the hot as you can handle baths / showers, they kept my sanity.  I didn't use benzos at all.  I take a multivitamin every day since I've stopped >45 days ago.  Get out and do something, don't sit around and sulk.  You'll drive yourself crazy, because it seems time slows down.  I didn't use too much immodium unless I was leaving the house and wouldn't have access to a bathroom.  After a couple days I began taking L-Tyrosine upon waking up.  After 3 weeks, I cut that back to only taking it when I felt it was going to be one of those days and it would help.  Drink and eat as much as possible, you won't feel like it, but you must force yourself to.

Stay focused, and understand you're making one of the best decisions of your life.  Stick to it, you don't ever have to use again.  Good luck, and post post post.  Go to a meeting as soon as you can and you'll be accepted with open arms.

Tim

Erk, just typed a response out then got previous screened >_<

I just did the hot baths for the crawling out of your skin feeling, very effective, I'd have multiple per day.  Take the vitamins for as long as it feels necessary I guess, and be sparing with the valium, it's good for helping sleep but you don't want to get addicted to another med (benzo) so don't use it for too long.  With the immodium also be frugal, or preferably y don't use it unless you really have to.  It slows the bodies natural detox, the quicker that crap is out the better.

As mentioned I only did the baths, so hopefully someone who followed it closely will drop in soon and give some more hands on advice.

I have not done the Thomas recipe so I don't have advice. I do take a womens vitamin twice daily and I take vitamin B12 Sublingual. I have taken it for years but doubled up since detox. It helps give you energy and supports metabolism. I take 2500 mcg and it's cherry flavored, dissolves under the tongue. I think you should add that. It's weird, I am actually a nurse but when it comes to this crazy addiction it seems all my knowlegde drifts away. Anyways, try the B12, make sure you get the sublingual kind.

P.S, I sent you a PM:)
Closing in on day 8 and still going strong!
