Think I might be tested and have 6 week old baby

I used to smoke pot before I got pregnant, and stopped once I did. Then I got on Missouri Care and was informed that they were going to be drug testing me throughout my pregnancy. That was fine by me.. Unfortunately after my pregnancy I broke down and smoked a little bit of pot with some friends about a month after I delivered my son. I am breastfeeding.. Well I went to my post partum visit today and didn't realize that I was going to have to give them a urine sample.. Which I'm pretty sure they are going to test.
Do you know how long it will take them to get the test results, and what will happen if I do come up dirty for marijuana? And even though I pumped prior to smoking and pumped and dumped afterwards, what if it is in his system if they test him?? Am I going to have my baby taken from me for a little bit of marijuana?? Why are you being monitored by CPS in the first place? I personally can't see your child taken from you for smoking a single joint, but I don't know your history with these people. I do know that once you are under their radar ,life can be very difficult.

HI they will probably not it in your records check the baby and then for the next 6mo check you every mo also expect a social worker to the home once a mo I wouldent think any more will come of it if you don't use again I wouldend looose any sleep over good luck and Gos bless.......Gnarly

it would be best if you would tell them the truth.  These types of surprises are never good.  CPS will probably step in and monitor your situation.  I would be thinking more on the lines of dealing with the reasons you are getting high.  Keep talking with us as we are here to help you~~~sara

Wow. what happened to you to go back and smoke again? how often do you smoke again? have you thought about getting help?

Im nite judging. i am in recovery for oxycontin. when you choose to smoke again how dis it male you feel? Do you want to stop??
