Timetable for Vicodin Withdrawl(withdrawal)--Help!

Hi,  I'm hoping someone can help me.  I've been taking 4-6 Vicodin for about three months now.  (Had a herniated disc.)  I kept taking them just cause my doctor kept giving them to me.  I didn't even notice that they were working--it just seemed like a routine.  This past weekend, I decided to go down to 2 a day so I could stop taking all of this medication.  I started to notice I was very anxious and irritable. Very depressed.  I can't concentrate.  It didn't hit me until yesterday that I could be going through WD.  I need some help finding answers.  I stopped taking ANY vicodin yesterday morning (when I took one pill).  Does anybody know a rough timetable of when I can start to feel better?  I need hope!

So you are on day 2...you should feel considerable better by day 4...i took 80 mg a day for much longer than that and it took me about 4-5 days to get back on my feet and feel better physically...Do you had any addiction history in the past?  read the health pages and get the thomas recipe and amino protocol from there...it helps and keep posting

Good for you for stoping. Im on my 3rd day after taking up to 10 a day for a couple months. Didnt start that way, but it led up to it in the past 3 or 4 months. From what I can tell you as of now, I had horrible anxiety issues. Today, actually just a couple hours ago, its subsided and its the first time that I've felt somewhat at ease since starting on Monday cold turkey. From what I've read here, everyone has different withdrawl (withdrawal) symptoms. I've heard from many people that L-Theanine works with helping take the edge off of the anxiety. You can find it at any health store. Hope this helps and keep it up! I know you can do it!

You will start to feel better on day 4-5. At least that is the norm for your dose. After that you will not be feeling real good but better than the first few days. Take a look at the Health pages on the right of page. Look up the Thomas recipe for some helps.
Welcome to the forum. You can do this. It feels like a really bad flu + anxiety.

You should start to improve alot by day 5. Eat lots of bananas for the RLS and look into getting the L Theanine for anxiety issues. I'm so proud of you for giving up the Vic's as they do so much damage to our bodies and our mental stability. Keep up the good work and just keep posting as this forum has helped me through some very tough times!!

Thanks, everyone.  It's so amazing to come on here and get encouragement.  I never thought this would happen to me!  As of now, I'm feeling a lot of chills, and I'm completely unable to concentrate on anything.  My mind is full of static.  I think I'm in day 2, so I'm kinda nervous that tomorrow will be a bad day.  I just can't wait til I break the 4-5 day barrier.
